I'm 77, soon 78, fished since I was five. Health denies me going anymore but I so enjoy watching. I have learned things by watching that I never tried and wish with all my heart i could go out and try them. God bless

Hey John if you ever find yourself back in South - southeast Oklahoma there is a really good small lake called Mountain Lake. It is owned by the city of Ardmore. Lots of big bass have been caught out of it including an old Oklahoma state largemouth record. Has a good smallmouth population in it as well.

What's just 3 years ago,on my birthday. When I first saw this video. Didn't realize how many fish you caught John. What a day. Still miss going to Oklahoma for vacation. Did it all my younger life. Have a lot Of relatives there Winoka, Oklahoma City Great memories, great times. Thanks again, John.

I live in Bixby Ok, probably 15-20 miles from this lake. I'm a "shore fisherman" and definitely need to check out this pond/lake. Lots of large perch and catching a nice bass would be icing on the cake! God bless!

Might I suggest that if in the same circumstances, you try a topwater and make long casts and slow twitching retrieves. The water is so clear, the bigger bass can see you a mile away.

I'd be a millionaire if I had $1 for every Bluegill I ever caught in Oklahoma. It was my favorite fish to catch. Some of the tiny creeks near the highways have huge Bluegill, We only had to walk a 1/4 mile to the pond near our house. Mom used give me a half slice of bacon and me and my friend would come back with 10 pounds of Bluegill! 1968. Norman Oklahoma.

I was born and raised in Owasso Ok,still live here, Owasso just 8 miles south of Cvile. I know where you fished, when I was a teenager in the mid to late 70s we had parties there, not exactly fishing for fish!! Laughing

Get you the repala original the brown and gold and the grey shad color. They work great in places like your fishing. Creeks and rivers also.

There are some great creeks and rivers up i. The LeFlure county area of Oklahoma. Smithville and Octavia have creeks with smallmouth….

Looked up Collinsville Lake. Most snake infested lake in the US. Cottonmouth in the water and around the walking path.

That's hilarious. There are cottonmouths in Oklahoma. Big whoop. There are timber rattlers and Diamondbacks and copperheads. Literally a non issue.

You should know it's easy and hard to make that much profit. I say EASY because it's very possible to make that much, and Hard because you'll need professional assistance to do it, I'd suggest you get assisted by a market advisor.

I love watching your videos This morning I was fishing for Largemouth Bass in a 40 acer public pond in my kayak I tried something that may sometimes work for you I was trolling a unweighted 6" rubber worm on a 4/0 weedless hook behind me as I fished I had that pole in a rod holder When I stoped to cast I would look at the line and a number of times I would see the line get tight from a bass

Don't go cheap on the rod. I would pay more for the rod than the reel. I got a st. croix pan fishing series and love it. Comment above is absolutely right about the reel. the pflueger president series 20s are great for a great price

I use a Shakespeare micro series ultralight combo. I’ve hauled 5 pound catfish on that thing but the button reel it comes with ( usually) is trash but you can find them with spinning reels too. That’s what I use. I have also caught 2 pound smallies on it and have had it for 2-3 years.

This is what kills me around this area. There just isn't areas like this you get into.There is only one public pond/lake within 30 min. of where I live but you pretty much have to drive over an hour to find good parks and public access. Now, if you want to fish pay lakes, they're a dime a dozen.
