The new Equinox spa in Hudson Yards, New York City, offers the Repêchage four-layer facial. The facial is made up of layers of seaweed products that are meant to work together to firm, tone, and rejuvenate skin. The layers consist of a seaweed serum, moisturizing cream, hydrating mask, and warm mineral mask. Insider's Emily Christian visited the spa to try out the facial for a discounted media rate. Emily wasn't so sure about her face being covered in four hardening masks. She worried about claustrophobia and wondered how she would breathe. Did the results warrant what could be her worst nightmare?

@no. I agree TOTALLY daily skincare most important. Been Asthetician 30 years and given 100s of these with GREAT RESULT 10 out of 10 (how we gauge effecicase/safety of treatments). Good maintenance and treat especially brides who can't chance irritation. Makeup goes on smooth up to a week.

There are spas that have it for way cheaper. I would know. I'm an aesthetician and we other at my salon for $110 which is honestly ridiculous and a steal. But most people don't get a facial applied by Lydia Sarfarti herself who is an absolute legend in the industry. She is a rockstar aesthetician. Plus, she added on a lot of extra goodies and treatments.

Shes got invisalign so maybe thats why shes smiling a ton? At the beginning when she was turning the camera off she puf like her smile in the frame. Maybe she just started invisalign? Im on invisalign atm and i was pretty much smiling the entire time when i first got them.

I'm an esthetician who uses this product at my spa I work at. We do this facial and it has wonderful results. In skin care if you put the lightest ingredient first it will continue to absorb everything you put on after that. In this case the c serum which is liquid, then followed by a cream, then seaweed mask and lastly the mineral makes that creates heat, which will open up the pores to help "push" the ingredients in the skin per say. The size of the molecules of each product are made so they absorb rather than lay on the skin. Hope this helps:)

Everybody is talking about her mouth being open but no one's saying anything about the bugger on her left nostril? It was so unsatisfying. On another note these facials should be done on someone who really needs one. Someone with acne or acne scars something anything besides a perfect woman in her 20s! I wanna know if this works.
