FPV drone exploration flight between obstacles blocking the video signal. In analog video I can't see little branches. Flight with digital system is more confident.
I can understand the analog purists but after switching to dji (vista) i instantly felt more confident in my flying. its so helpfull to see tiny branches and tiny gaps further ahead clear. honestly i dont notice the 20-30ms latency
You don't have to switch, you can do both. Analog has a lot of pros going for it still, not the least of witch is its a lot cheaper. So if you are going to crash a lot or have high risk flying analog is a no brainer. At the same time you can have digital on other aircraft that you want to do less risky flying with. Analog can look much better than it does in this video as well, not as good as DJI 03. Better Camera, better more powerful VTX, and something like the post processing on the HDZ goggles all could make the analog picture better but drive up the cost too. None of this equipment was bad gear its just not the best of what analog has to offer where the DJI 03 is arguably the best picture of the digital systems. Analog also still can go farther than DJI but so can walk snail digital. Totally depends on the mission.
@@Clickmaster5k nah i stick to vistas for my freestyle quads. They are super durable and the only part of my quads that I have never broken :) also I don't like to carry 2 pair of googles. Whoops are the only thing I still fly analog
This is true, I upgraded to digital after spending 6 months on analog The clarity and that wide FOV of the DJI goggles really gave my confidence a jump when freestyling, it's literally like night and day and worth every penny P.S. The switch took a while since I had to build that trust in myself of not losing drones
@@Clickmaster5kI was going to say the same, that confused me. Also I assume he meant analog and dji goggles? Or did the only vistas mean he thinks you need the goggles 2 for the 03? Lot of unanswered questions I have. Hmm 😂
Not going to get any cheaper then the Dji v2s honestly there’s a bunch of analog goggles the same or more! And once you get them hit someone up that has 20 dam air units (03 or nebula) I like helping people start hd how ever I can.
Expensive? Analog SKY04X PRO cost 511eur. DJI Goggles 2 - 599eur (Sales now). Used V1, V2 cost 225-300eur in my country. Runcam Link Wasp 110eur in bangood. Used Vista/DJI Air Unit ~70-100eur.
@@ali3n24exactly. just bought new integras for 400$ + 250$ o3, new sky04x is 530$! with receiver + at least 50$ for antennas + 100$ for vtx and some other stupid shit. Pricing of new equipment just got as low as it will ever get.
Nice. Had a good chuckle at first. Was like why is both videos looking like the same quality, then realized my phone set the video to 380p 😂 major difference in 1080p 😂😂. Planning on switching from analog to Dji 03 soon. Can't wait. Oh, and fyi, them trees stuck.
The analog was hella good though and i love how you get a live audio feed. It was perfectly flyable the whole time. Maybe im a weirdo.. but i started with DJI O2(air unit) and switched to analog i prefer the latency and breakup pattern plus the cost is good for when you break shit or need a replacement camera you got options
Yes. I don't like the stick feel of dji. I'm sure I can't notice 30ms vs 12 ms video side by side but I deff notice the video lagging behind my stick input especially with snap rolls of 1000degree per sec. I'm all about the whole feeling of fpv. I like to feel like the drone is an extension of my fingers, a part of me. When flying dji I feel like I'm controlling something not a part of something. Also I tune my quads to damn near perfect so my setpoint and gyro are dead on even through snap rolls.
It's the best they can do- analog is MAX power (1.4~1.6W) and o3 air unit in FCC mode. I don't rotate my head, so patch antenna don't follow quad in both flights.
with a good analog setup you can fly just fine the you dont see branches thing isnt true imo you dont see them on the o3 either if its not perfect lighting also latency is a big deal for me atleast i tried out walksnail and i got headaches from flying that never happend to me on analog i now got hdzero which has constant low latency and that feels very good to fly and the difference in the goggles themselfs isnt very big atleast compared to walksnail also the hdzero goggles are leagues better than any dji goggle and you can fly analog and walksnail aswell on it (with vrx modules) and use them for flying in simulators due to hdmi in
@@ronniequalls7217 i fly analog and hdzero and i like hdzero alot its like analog with low fixed latency but better qualtiy than analog vtx are lacking in output power tho but i got 1km range out of the race v3 on 200mW today withperfect picture still and thats plenty for my use cases and the hdzero goggles are amazing for analog aswell only real competitor is the new skyzone goggles imo
@@woutervossebeld4664 maybe im wrong with this comparison but its like analog was the past and digital is 4.0 generation, and on my view we cannot compare sth that in 2 different platform, sr my bad english, idn how to explain 😔
@@JustInTime0525 Yeah, all my "H8 the..." ones. Also my playlist "Eachine H8 Amazement" shows other people's videos that taught me it was possible. There's a mod called silverware firmware for certain older brushed boards. Caddx has an AIO cam / vtx that's listed in my H8 video descriptions. Then you can always combine with other brushed micros to make them cheaper to run, lighter and therefore more durable in crashes. Let me know what you think!
⚠you are very smart, like all the reviewers who take money from DJI, what's the point of putting a video where in Analog you recorded the video that comes to you on Goggles, instead for Digital you recorded the On Board video on the Drone, of course you have more detail and sharpness, look, even the analogue version has a kit with Cam and HD DVR on board, put the Recorded Video that you get on the Digital Goggles OSD, and as you turn behind the concrete walls you can see everything nice and grainy on both sides😆🤣
It's on gogles digital DVR. You don't see OSD, because DJI v2 don't record it😕 (but I add TXT from gogles with latency and bitrate) You can see that both systems have lost signal in the same place. This test proved to me that DJI has better penetration than MY analog setup. (with digital I can fly lower to the ground) Digital is better? I don't know, it depends on your needs and budget. For freestyle I still use analog(cheap and sufficient) , but for exploring / crusing I choose digital (I can see live in HD) BTW, I wish DJI would pay me 😁
@@prottentogo you are curious? have you been in fvp for 3 years and don't know ON BOARD DVR with Analog Cameras? it often happens that those who write teacher reviews on RU-vid are people who know less than the students ...😅 so you can start finding and watching these titles on RU-vid 1. Battle of the FPV HD Cameras // Caddx Turtle V2 vs. Foxeer Mix by Drone Mesh 2. Runcam Split 4 Vs. Caddx Loris by kremeFPV and you can search more😊
@@kris-kb4vf lol man what's wrong with you? I presonally use an onboard dvr by runcam. I just wanted to know about what product exactly you're talking about. watch your manners, man.
@@prottentogo friend, I'm being joking, I thought you were kidding me by pretending not to know that On Board DVR Recorders have existed for years, including high resolution ones for Analog cameras, and I find it strange that you, who seem like someone who does a lot of reviews, don't know them, given that if you've been flying for 3 years or more, I repeat, I thought you were being funny, sorry my friend and keep calm I joke😅
