Am I the only one that feels like the pro matches in this game are WAY better than in SC2? Like so much more strategy, units spread out everywhere, one unit can make all the difference in this one. SC2 sometimes feels like it's just two massive balls of units walking into each other and a calculator decides the victor.

Yes, at least up until LotV Code S. I'd say that's equally exciting. What the SC2 scene needed was units that could potentially turn the tide with really good control, and a good pool of REALLY skilled players that could really push the game's boundaries Brood War had that starting around 2005, and even then, it wasn't really until 2010 that most of the top players were able to have these epic back-and-forth games. It took Starcraft 2 until 2016 to reach that

It's why people stop playing Starcraft 2. Starcraft Broad war everything mattered like a work of art. In SC2 is more robotic and easier.

I was never great at either starcraft, I think I am low gold in starcraft 2, I was mainly referring to watching pro matches. Most Pro SC2 matches seem to go One of two ways. With a macro intensive proxy battle decide the game in the first 5 minutes or so, or... each army building up a deathball of units which walk into each other. Starcraft 1 pro matches seem to be interesting from start to finish like old fasion Age of Empires 2 games. Units everywhere, terrain used more effeciently, multiple battles over different resource nodes... idk. I could be wrong though, Haven't seen too many sc2 matches.

Sorry mate, you are kinda wrong. Watch top seriers of SC II. The thing "result of the match is known within first 5 minutes" is over. Now you start with 12 workers (or 10?), so it mean you are more flexible, have ability to start poking enemy faster (which is more intresting) I like sc:bw a lot and enjoy watching it, but all this sc:bw>scII bullshit needs to stop (not saying you said that, but just in general). Both games are great and people who say scII is for kids, simply won't accept the fact this game evolved and moved forward, leaving them behind.

@@raymondchou9550 absolutely. I play both Starcraft 1 and Starcraft 2. I can never get enough of this games and when ASL or GSL are not casting, I come back to these channels (Nevake, nukethestars, SC BW Dual) etc. Truly the best game in history for me.

Here is my short list of what i liked better in bw or didnt like in sc2: Maaxing out too soon and often in sc2 Widowmines shooting air Stalker should have been a dragoon The sound and graphics style are so much better in bw Mothership core is kinda lame, give me arbiter Overcharge pylobn too ez defense Viking/banshee, the wraith makes more sense and is more fun Maps in sc2 are too similar All the small "bugs" that made bw so good The learning curve in bw.

The game in the description is totally a bug... pretty sure it's Brood War :D ; on a side note it's really cool to see how tournament players play the game... I don't move the camera around nearly as much, so it makes it kind of daunting for me to even remotely consider playing Starcraft on MP.

Rough game for the terran, the early zealot harass was spot on and that containment really made him suffer. Some really good engagements for him, but I think he really lost this one on the economy since he just couldn't keep up off 2-3 bases.

Dunno where he'd get the gas for science vessels honestly. They aren't that strong vs protoss anyway, especially when you're down on army.

that set his expansion back like an extra 10 sec, which is enough to snowball it to something like a tech lead / expo lead at this level. the early dragoon hits onto the Bunker is standard for Terran Rax FE since Dragoon range comes out faster than Siege. it isn't a contain at all.

It was really impressive how the Terran player was able to be so agressive even after all the harassment he got at the beggining. I do believe that at 20:20 this was one Hell of a greedy push and the very definition of over extending, and probably what cost him the game.

The buildings were marked as unpowered, but still the units were processing, not sure, didnt't catch exactly.

actually it looks like all of his pylons in the game bugged for some reason. At 11:00 he also tries building cannons at his 3rd and can't. So he throws up a bunch of new pylons everywhere and keeps playing.

anyone else notice how he attacks his own pylons with his carriers so that he can get them to launch their interceptors.. that way when he goes to engage the terran army, the interceptors are all already launched and can all attack instantly?

Simon Lee yea it can work. But to get it you need an addon on the science facility and you'll want to upgrade 2-4 ghost upgrades, at least cloak and lockdown and maybe you even want ghost sight range and energy upgrade... then you need to make the ghost and wait for them to have enough energy. It just takes so long to get this to work is my point and you may just lose before you get to use them. We've seen lockdown vs carriers before though so it is doable.

he probably made a total of 1 barracks that whole game so it would be a bit of a tech transition. Easier to just switch to goliaths and also effective. Just because you make ghosts doesn't mean you get a lockdown on the carriers.

If Spherical videos are possible, then shouldn't it also be possible to create a video format that would allow people to watch a replay and let them pan around in the game as it is happening? All RTS games could start exporting such a format and youtube could have a player that can play the format. That'd be really cool if you could pan around on youtube.

When RU-vid allows the .rpl or whatever they save as, as a viable video format, any RTS replay could be fully viewed. Would be great if you could click units and view stats as well though

you can download replays or spectate matches to do that - FPVODs are useful if you want to see the entire game from the player's perspective

They would recreate everything that happened in the game rather than "record the image" Whoever decides to try and make a video share platform that can incorporate multiple replay formats for in depth viewing; will create the next RU-vid. Imagine all your favourite AoE2 replays, SC2, C&C, all on one website, available to view as if you were actually spectating yourself

Valentin Aleksejev это сильно улучшает невероятно фиговый поиск пути в игре. Если нажать 1 раз, то половина твоих гунов пойдут в противоположную сторону и забьются в угол карты, попробуй в кастомке.

Why do pro players tend to have that terrible habit to make so much unnecessary clicks, especially in the beginning? Like 500 in the beginning and maybe 100-150 in the rest of the match.
