National treasure of England lol white folks don't even like ngaz they only like us when we are winning at sports for them.. but go ahead and loose the world cup and then theyre all jus ngaz again
I met Frank Bruno at a talk he did a couple of years ago. He’s one of the nicest men I’ve met , he was more than happy to sign things and get pics with the kids. He’s a true gentleman 💪
@@Boomy2710x 😂 I think there’s enough research here to suggest that Frankie boy is far to close for comfort to some of the most horrificly evil monsters this country has ever seen. 🙄🤦🏻
I've had the privilege of meeting Bruno a couple of times now, just out and about. Honestly a real gentleman, super friendly and gives you his time. His generation of heavy weights where real monsters and he was rite up there with the best of them. One of the best things I've seen in boxing was him finally winning his hw World title.
Mike Tyson was the best Boxer with Ko power in history for me right up in till he left Kevin Rooney & went with Don king he was never the same after that. Youngest heavy weight champion in history aged 20 Years Old and undisputed at 21 Yrs old WOW just wow from Sheffield England SWFC
Yeh pound for pound he must of been the hardest hitter in the world. At 21 he was knocking out experienced heavyweights 10/11 years older than him. Considering most heavyweights dont peak until their mid 30s, he was amazing to watch.
So true. The guys he was KO weren't bad boxers or fighters in fact some went on to have good careers. I guess Tyson was doing things differently because he was KO guys who were peeking at 33 or so, all the while being only 21 or 22 himself. Heavyweight Boxing just doesn't work that way normally. I think Tysons 1st fight without Rooney and Cus and some other trusted guys like his biographer and photographers you know people that were in Cus's Inner circle showed. That fight with Tyson was Tysons 1st without his proper crew......
Peak Tyson could never have beating a peak Bowe The Tyson you speak of was so overrated Go back and look closely at his record He beat good boxers well passed their prime and useless bums. When he lost his 0 against a boxer I’d never heard of,, he had nowhere to go but fight the elite boxers Lewis Bowe Holyfield He couldn’t complete with these athletes.. The Tyson story is a bit of a myth He was well managed ,, always getting easy fights..
Bruno lacked stamina too. If he didn't snuff them put early he steuggled after round 6, aside from that he was under rated. Unfortunately he ran into some tough opponents, witherspoon, bonecrusher and tyson were no jokes.
@@MrZodiac666 Complete and utter nonsense. Tyson was a comet and they burn out. The miracle of Mke's story is that he lived past the age of eighteen. Any bout he had without Rooney in the corner was a farce.
Great to see Frank so upbeat and good humoured. The Frank we loved as a wonderful character in the boxing arena. Hopefully his troubles are behind him and he’s enjoying life.
I've been told by people who have met Frank many times during charity events and his work with Christian groups and they had nothing but absolute love for this man. For me, he has always embodied the spirit of what a true gentleman is.
Around 1989 i was delivering somewhere round Knightsbridge, hot. pissed off and whilst walking back to the lorry the back window of a car rolled down and Frank's face appeared saying 'cheer up'.....!
Absolutely love big Frank. Followed his fighting career from the early 80's. Good luck Frank. I cannot understand why this man is not yet knighted, he has, & is an inspiration to our youth and a boxing legend
I hope Frank knew that the whole country was throwing every punch with him against McCall for the world title. The emotional will of the people and Frank's determination to get the title was an unbelievable experience. When Land of Hope and Glory played at the end of the fight... wow... that's what films and dreams are made from.
Frank in his day was one hell of a fighter. A left jab that was up there with the best ever, coupled with a devastating right. Followed his carrier from day one; apart from Tyson, the fights he lost he was winning until his achilleas heel came into play which was he could never defend himself instinctively when he was hurt. Was so glad when he eventually got the crown. Never met him but he always seems such a down to earth all round nice guy.
@@MrDallman the video says it all about Mr Frankie boy I’m afraid 🙄 too much smoke for there to be no fuckin fire here. He’s a nonce, no doubt about it!
I.ve been blessed to.have met Frank on many occasions he.s a lovely man.. very honest..Terry Lawless was very clever and finely tuned Frank...not forgetting Frank Black..George Francis...Jimmy Tibbs👏👏👏
Bruno was loved by the British people of all races, still is, but at the time he was British poster boy, something no other UK fighter ever achieved and many were very jealous of. Don't get me wrong, we have had great and talented fighters such as Lewis and others but none loved as much as Bruno and that is all credit to big Frank .. he was a good boxer too
@@kristinaking4680 I think Bruno was more open, more approachable, pure golden heart, a London geezer with a great sense of humour. Bruno was the British hope at a time when we hadn't had a true heavyweight for many many years, the man who could challenge the dominant America and a certain Mike Tyson, Bruno had power. Lewis was more closed off, an arrogance, more professional and came from Canada with an accent so many felt he was a fake Brit, although later It came out he's a Brit (stamped in all). Credit to Lewis though, he once said boxers are like highlander and once you beat another fighter, you gain many of their fans, Lewis certainly did that. Lewis was a real world class boxer, clever, powerful, tall and skilled, a tue world champion and a deserving all timer.. but, he never grew up in London and always had that disconnect about him.
I remember when Bruno came back to wandsworth where he was born and raised before his second fight with Tyson in 1996 and he went to the local barber shop to say hello by henry prince estate.. and some girl from the area scratched TYSON into his Bentley which was parked outside ... was a liberty
I met Frank some years ago when I went to a health club in Hertfordshire for a job interview as a Fitness Instructor. Absolute gentleman & he calmed my nerves as I was uptight with the interview. Would love to have him as my brother as highly personable & humanistic man.
@@user-nl5er4ld5l Yeah right, AJ got exposed. Turns out the suspicions of AJ being a weaker version of Bruno were true. Both are nice guys but Frank would have knocked AJ out of the ring.
Hi James hope your good, this one for me was brilliant and funny at times but also sad too. I've followed you from the start on your journey and I'm now with you on patreon... Keep shining 💪👌💙
Frank is British boxing legend but Mike tyson is a phenomenon most boxers would shit themselves before getting in the ring with Mike he was a total monster in the ring which is why he is one of the greatest boxers of all time
That was the first ever fight I seen. I'll never ever forget it. Being woken up to my dad saying "come and watch this son". Absolutely loved it, been hooked on boxing ever since
@@daveatkin7557 I never seen them live though obviously I've seen them many times since. I did see both Benn and eubank fighting Steve Collins, again more great nights. I'd watched a few Naz fights, but was never really a fan of Naz tbh. I do remember watching his fight with Wayne Mccullough live with my dad. I think British boxing was at its best in those days. Not so much in terms of quality, but more so in the spectacle and the buzz it created.
@@daveatkin7557 yeah I've seen it, Barrera certainly took him to school l. I have seen a few of his fights, just wasn't a fan of his. Same with Calzaghe, wasn't really fan of his but I've seen most of his fights too
Amazing how boxers. Probably the most brutal and tough sport there is. But. The fighters themselves are, for the most part extremely genteel and gracious.
Always cool to see ode Frank still about. Hope you well Frank. I had the Tyson Bruno poster on my wall as a kid. Everyone's dog was called Tyson or Bruno at the time, a neighbour's dog called Bruno had jumped it's fence one morning and I made it follow me to school and took him inside to let him cause havoc. Everybody knew this Bruno dog was a savage he was running round onto everyone in the corridors 🤣🤣🤣
Frank was a great fighter , 2 time champ and had some great moments against Mike and Lennox and he destroyed alot of great fighters, his record is great as well and I believe he was inducted into IBHOF recently congrats to him
Great video James and great channel Frank Bruno was my best boxer and I like Mike tyson great Bruno and tyson were pals and both have great respect for each other and both great in there prime. I wish boxing could have tag teams but obiovious that's never bein suggestive cos I would have put Frank Bruno and Mike Tyson together I think they would have bein undefeated together
Past era fighters even though they are very much like a enemies in those time they faught but they do have mutual respect to each other..and now we can they have a lots of respect..
I don’t think Mike Tyson knew who he was 😂😂😂 FairPlay James 👍 Frank is not just a legend he is and always will be one of the best in the sport absolute great. I had the pleasure of meeting him and Ricky hit man in Pattaya Thailand 👍
