This is how we all got along together. Laughing and joking with each other, stereotyping knowing that it's all in fun. No hatred and racism. In the end we are all family and friends helping each other. No stress hea!!

Mahalo for your comments, Sterling. I used to go to Frank Delimaʻs shows in Waikiki with friends in my college days and saw him many times later in schools and at special events, and we always had a good time, laughing at his jokes and impersonations, and when he poked fun at the people in the audience. We recognized people or situations in his act and understood the jokes based on ethnicity and stereotyping, and no one took offense. However, when people, especially from the mainland, started criticizing him and other local comedians for being racist or wanted them to "analyze" the appropriateness of ethnic jokes and stereotyping, they just didnʻt get it and things became uncomfortable. People who are too politically correct just donʻt understand local humor and why we can laugh at ourselves and each other and still get along.

Hawaii is politically incorrect and damn proud of it! Which is to say, we don't take ourselves too seriously. Frank De Lima's humor reflects that.

With all the SJW PC ridiculousness here on the mainland these days, I come to videos like this to find my fond childhood memories, and remember a time and place when we could all laugh at ourselves and at each other in good fun, and with no malice. Humor forces all the self-importance, arrogance and defensiveness out of the room. You have to laugh at how strange a species we are, and remember to enjoy the ride.

I discovered Frank Delima many, many years ago, one evening, when I came across one of his famous joke books at the magazine section in Long's. I also had to be literally dragged out of Long's by one of my sisterd because I ended up BURSTING into tears from laughing so hard at one of his jokes (the one about Manuel telling Juaquin to "look at that dead bird" joke 😄) Much mahalo nui loa to uncle Frank for his amazing sense of humor 😂🤣😆

I miss this about Hawaii living in Las Vegas for a long time.Nobody got offended by all the ethnic jokes about each other. Here the Blacks a.k.a. Poplos always take offense all the time and play the race card. The Mexicans sometimes the same way, even my Mexican American girlfreind gets pissed at me even though she was not born in Mexico.Hey im original i was born in the Philippines but love the Filipino jokes.Aloha everybody!!!

Plenty haoles in Las Vegas, that's why. I get pissed off at the haoles that come to Hawaii on vacation, they act like they own the place and make like everyone's their servant.

FPSGHoST808 Funny huh Cuz?Over here the Haoles no bother me.They like me better than the Mexicans and Popolos.Me when i was back home in Honolulu most of the Haoles i know were Kamaainas and go surfing with the Locals and have Local Wahines.I miss home but im up here where i no pay state tax in Vegas.Over here like i said they saty cool with me.They no like see the Kalihi side of me.Aloha Bradda!
