Frank Ntilikina is reportedly signing with the Mavs. He's a terrific perimeter defender and his 7'1 wingspan allows him to come up with sneaky steals and rejections. He's not going to provide the team with scoring and shooting (though he's an improving 3-point shooter.) He's still very young and offers solid playmaking and capable ball handling skills in addition to the previously mentioned defensive abilities.

Knicks fan here . Frank is a good pick up for y’all. We didn’t use him correctly but he can be a great glue guy if given the chance. He would also help get KP in better spots to score and is a versatile defender. Hope he balls out for y’all !

i’m putting my trust in kidd & the coaching staff on this one. impressed w/ some of the shot creation i saw in this video. a low-risk high reward for sure. the high reward would be exactly what we’ve been wanting all offseason so we’ll see but i’m intrigued to say the least.

Frank played way too scared in NY, especially shooting off the bounce and looked scared to go in the paint. But when he hits a couple of shots you can see his whole demeanor change

this team is slowly putting together a roster full of length and athleticism. our defense will be significantly better than last year. Frank on the ball defense is superb and he can create his own shot. i think he will develop well here because the expectations of him here will be must lower than in NY. Kidd have a developmental team in place to help some of these young guys grow. i am excited for this season.

I’m a diehard Knicks fan and a Frank truther. I think he is the perfect guard to complement Luka. He can shoot threes now and is one of the most versatile guard/wing defenders in the league. If Kidd gives him some run I think this year could be his coming out party.

I haven’t looked at his splits, but all I need is for him to be a 40% shooter from 3. If he can give us that consistency, he will be perfect for Luka. We gotta deal with Steph and Klay, Dame and CJ, Cp3 and Book, Donovan, Russ, Ja, Fox, Murray when he comes back….like there’s so many guards that on any given night can torch a team. Having a guy like Frank on defense can be the difference in a close win or loss. Hopefully J Kidd can unlock that potential since he was a great defender in his own right.

I think a lot of people are sleeping on Frank. Mavs will work with him a lot on offense. Also I think him playing in a smaller market like Dallas will be good for him, along with the other foreign players.

Not going to lie Frank on D with corner 3 + the amount of attention Luka demands will be an underrated one two. THJ and KP both providing additional floor spacing is another plus, now all you guys would need is a great interior defender maybe try to trade for Turner and you guys would legitimately be top 4 contenders.

Man if he can figure out one element on offense he would be a great role player. He's a pretty decent passer but he needs something else. If he can shoot the 3 around 38% this year, he will have a really good season.

Franky N will be taking over the 2nd unit duties for Brunson at the deadline, because Dorian and JB will be packaged together for a 3rd star. We havent extended their contracts yet, and that only means one thing.

Frank needed some burn. He’s not the bad player that his rep portrays honestly. Surprised thibs didn’t latch to him with his defensive toughness and could of been used well to stop trae in the playoffs. You don’t always need to be a shooter to be a weapon on a team. Good pick up by the Maverknicks

he can get stops and if he gets consistent playing time, he slowly grows his offensive game over time...knicks never gave him that except for fiz's last season so imo he's never had the opportunity to grow...hopefully he blossoms in dallas

Wow i feel he going to learn with mavs in Jason Kidd he going to have similar procces like Dorian Finney smith but even better and a love doe doe he is a really good roll player who can guard almost all the position and make good 3 pointer in clutch moment Frank would be Doe Doe 2.0 Also knick want use him as a point guard and he is more a wing he can guard very well Jason kidd can show him alot of things remember yeah he dont have a positive record in the nba but he create giannis and also was learning alot from lakers Dallas sistem is going to be super diferent this year i fell alot of energy from the bench lowkey this underdogs can do something (sorry for my bad english)

defense id like to see. 3rd option is my favorite to close out a game (more athletic defensively/less O) (better balanced with kp at the 4 my favorite) luka D Luka Luka. (the general) frank N or Frank or Franky (covers the best small) DFS DFS Reggie B/DFS (covers the best forward) Reggie B Reggie B KP (let KP be KP) KP Moses Moses Brown. (hopefull for a Giannis light defensively)

Am I the only one who thinks the mavs should use him like a mikal bridges? That is if his small sample size of three point percentage is legit. I mean think about it he has a crazy wingspan and his defense is great he has decent playmaking too. Imagine a mikal bridges who can facilitate a bit.

Marcus Smart with length. I like Frank in the Knicks, but I am gonna be honest - he's not reliable on the offensive end - there's flashes of his capability in this highlight vid - but if not given a consistent role (which was the case in NY), he easily checks out of his groove and disappears. On the defensive end, that's his strength. Really tough defender 1-3, and can hold himself even vs small ball PF (as you can see here vs Gordon multiple times) - so that switchability will help team defense a lot.

Last thing I’ll remember from frank is him coming off the bench and into the game during the last seconds in the playoffs. He clapped his hands and got into a defensive stance. Trae young gets the ball and basically walks past him to the paint

Sad to see Frank go, great kid, hard worker, but so frustrating. Everytime he had a chance to prove something, he either got injured or just didn't rise to the occasion. Perhaps he just needs a coach to believe in him and have a defined role, but still, he is never going to be a pure PG, he just doesn't have the handles. I know alot of people talk about Frank's defense, but he is not a lockdown defender by any stretch. He's more of a smart defender that can play well within the team's scheme. Long arms can be disruptive but he doesn't have quick feet to stay with defenders laterally (just look at the Trae Young play in I believe game 3 of the 1st round). He will get skinny on ball screens for sure. His 3 point shot surely looked like it was coming around, especially on his corner 3s. I wish nothing but good things for Frank. Will never look badly on Frank, but that snake, KP, will be a Knick enemy forever!!! Sorry you Dallas fans are now stuck with that punk!!!
