Interesting video. The run-out may be better on the press you are using. I just don't have that much faith the run out is all that good in other presses. that do not free float. I have seen mixed results. I do have a set but only for back up in case I have a problem with the seating dies I have. Standalone caliber specific are quite costly but are certainly a better answer for precision reloading. Nice video, great ad.
I think the floating head definitely helps with runout. But I have RCBS match master, and Forster precision seating dies and I actually like this as good or better
Like any press it would depend on the bullet and how it fit and the pressure you have to seat it. Most seating stems will leave a ring if you have to put a lot of pressure on to seat the bullet. If you want precision ammo, go with a caliber specific full length seating die like Redding, Forster or RCBS. These are similar to the Hornady seating dies that support the case at the neck when seating. If that is something you are happy with maybe these will suit you. I am not all that sure the runout will be as good as he says without using a free-floating press like he was using, or a Bonanza press that free float like his. I have a set of these dies but only intend on using them if I have an issue with any of my other seating dies.
