Not even a... *looks at description* phranziska shipper can deny the possibility of best ship. Also, love how Hobo Wright being, well, hobo wright is the perfect way to mess with Franziska. Frankly, kinda wish Wright had remained a hobo... Or at least that there was a bit more hobo wright in his current personality.
@@phoenixwright784 Personally, I prefer Lawyer Wright, but I thought Hobo Wright was cool. I especially loved the times people randomly roasted Phoenix in court. Those were hilarious
@@Reir0oDo you remember the second case of Phoenix Wright Justice for all where Francizka literally whips Phoenix so much with her whip that he passed out?
well you need an actual proof of that cause as far as i know Edgeworth made Wright work abroad sometimes that's related to his former job even though he already lost his badge
did she now? cause iirc in Ace Investigations she's usually working on tracking down the Ilegal smuggling case and only prosecuted one time when Debeste is kidnapped
@@anthonydeadman I'm gonna cry a lot if that happens. Dick was probably one of my favourite characters in the original trilogy, only dethroned by Edgeworth in that segment were we play as him and see how his mind works, on top of him being a closet fan of the steel samurai. And that's the only thing he's in the closet for.
@@anthonydeadman you actually don't know how close Gumshoe was to being a murder victim. In Duel Destinies, Gumeshoe was supposed to return, but because of the what we learn in the last case, he would've been dead. So enter Bobby Fulbright to take his place.
Honestly, i can see Franziska feeing disappointed about Phoenix leaving the attorney job behind. There are really so little moments of them just chatting or working together, so it’s awesome to see what could happen lol Also did she just whipped Trucy- and on top of that, Trucy didn’t care at all?
@@MrSMG-gn9zi it’s the reason why Apollo Justice exists, so minor spoiler below. He’s caught using forged evidence (which he didn’t know was forged at the time) during a trial. That’s really it.
2:11 Showing that even though she was grown up by the time Mannfred went to jail, *She still is hurting from it, and doesn't want other girls to suffer the same fate. She's so sweet sometimes ^.^* *THWACK* AUGH SHE'S FOUND WHERE I LIVE HELP!
speaking of Franziska, until now she still holds that Shelly De Killer card with Phoenix's doodle on it and from the ending of JFA sha said that she'll keep that evidence and bring it back to him someday
Everyone feels so in character, you write them so authentically! Francizka flying around the world to “gloat” masking genuine concern is spot on, this feels like something that actually happened in those 7 years
Phoenix: "Well if it helps, I've taken on an apprentice. He's a rookie lawyer, but if you don't mind that, you could meet him in the courtoom." Fransizka: "Let me see." *looks at photo of Apollo* "Yes, his face seems sufficently whippable."
It is extremely hard to feel even a little bad for franziska when her crying words are “now I’ll never get the chance to crush you in court” But for what it’s worth, you wrote her perfectly, this feels canon
"why won't you get your badge back?!?" "Well... as a defense attorney I: was punched in face by the man who murdered my mentor. Nearly killed by the mob, tazed by your father, which was the gift that kept on giving as maya was a walking taser for yhe next 24 hours, then bashed in the head with a fire extinguisher, fell off a cliff, whipped by you so much i dont feel it, had my best friend held hostage in an attempt to blackmail me to defend a murderer, routinely burned by the next prosecutor Godot. So in light of all that evidence, olaying cards for a living is much easier." "O-oh."
honestly I think Franziska would've dropped in along with Miles, this definitely would've been emotional and shocking for both of them to see Phoenix like this. But I think you nailed Franny's reaction, she'd try to be proud but it would bother her knowing his downfall in court wasn't at her hands.
This is actually very nice. It feels like an epilogue to apollo justice. I dont really like what they did with the new games. So this actually makes me feel very nostalgic
This versión of Phoenix felt so fucking cool man, like a guy that has every answer, I'm sad and a little dissapointed that he didn't stick with this personality on the following games.
Is it just me or hobo Phoenix Wright gives strong Part 4 Jotaro vibe? They're both more calm and stoic in comparison to they're younger self's (Phoenix is more calm than in AA3 and Jotaro in part 3), both also take prodigy's and help them with their experience and knowledge ( Phoenix takes Apollo and Jotaro takes Josuke).
I wasn't into JoJo when I got into AA, but I see what you mean. My main point of comparison was Devil May Cry 4 since Uncle Dante takes on a hot headed apprentice (Nero) in his own weird way, appears as the villain (not really but he is framed as an antagonist for half the game) and basically has all the answers. Coincidentally, they are all Part 4s though the games are a bit divisive with people generally liking JoJo Part 4. Dante also looks like a hobo in DMC5 and takes a nap on the streets for a week or something.
Franziska actually HAS visited hobo phoenix in a short comic strip. Franziska:”what in the world..!” “The phoenix wright who could never settle down” “has grown into this kind of man!” “And hes even kinda handsome..!” “Can i really whip him like this..?” Pretty weird lmao
Honestly, one of my biggest gripes with Apollo Justice is that there aren’t any reoccurring characters (Ema doesn’t count, honestly wouldn’t surprise me if Rise From the Ashes was made just to shoehorn Ema to the original series). I know they wanted a brand new start for newer players, but it just felt so distant to the previous games, especially since this was the game Phoenix was stripped of his badge. Very few old characters were present during this critical moment in Wright’s career, no Larry, Edgeworth, Franziska, or Maya. This video stuck out as it’s a good representation of what we could’ve gotten by bringing back old characters, and seeing them react to Wright’s new demeanor and lifestyle (and Franziska was definitely a good choice due to her aggressiveness clashing with Wright’s laidback personality)
The thing with AA is that it wasn't supposed to have Phoenix as a returning character, they tried to start again with a new cast and a few references to the old games, however Capcom changed it to add Phoenix again. And then the next two games didn't bother to bring back the old cast while keeping Wright.
@@ThyFloorestFloor Yeah, honestly I think Phoenix's inclusion was a pretty bad move. While it was cool seeing Phoenix after so many years (as well as that segment where Phoenix is playable), Phoenix and Emma's inclusion only reminded me of how I wished to see the old cast again. Seriously, imagine how great an "Ace Attorney game set in a new universe" would be if it had no (story related) relations to the original series, with to new characters and locations. Oh wait, the Great Ace Attorney did that, and honestly, best Ace Attorney game I've played.
@@CLTurtle I absolutely agree with it. I think that the Apollo/Athena saga would have benefitted more if it didn't have Phoenix on it. His inclusion only makes us crave for the original cast as they were as iconic to the saga as the man himself. It feels weird to have Phoenix around and none of his old pals.
although The Great Ace Attorney is a new story, it's still related to Phoenix since it tells the story of his ancestor and i wouldn't be surprised if they reveal that his ancestor met Ami Fey which is the ancestor of the Fey Clan and becomes his assistant
If they ever remake Apollo justice, I want a slice of life series like in great ace attorney Chronicles of Phoenix getting visited by his friends and rivals while disbarred and reacting to his situation going into the game
I like that Franziska realize something that everyone need to know: "you don't appreciate what you have until you loose it" is just a matter of Jing and Jang there must exist some good for bad to exist and viceversa
Ah what could have been. I actually liked hobo Phoenix as a development. I would have loved to have seen where Takumi would have taken the series after Apollo Justice, had he been given the chance.
I'll be honest, I've always been curious to see how AA4 "no fucks given" Phoenix would've interacted with Franziska. This dialogue feels so true to the source material.
tbh if it wasn't for Edgeworth convincing him to go back being an attorny to help Simon Blackquill then he might stick being a poker player instead for the rest of his life
@@officerdoggy8958 yeah Phoenix did leave behind some hints that he might retake the bar exams but i think that scene occurred after Edgeworth visited him when he learned that Apollo cleared his name from the Forged Evidence case which he explained to Apollo and Athena when he took Simon's case
@@officerdoggy8958 i didn't hear it, i was watching Ace Attorney Dual Destinies gameplay and from there you can connect the ending of AA:Apollo Justice to the final case of Dual Destinies
The only thing I think is out of character, is Franziska's emotional breakdown. She would only show that side of her to Edgeworth. That being said, I think she could be pushed to breaking down just by Phoenix blurting out that Trucy financially provides for him and helps him cheat at his games and that every day, he is always one bad game away from being homeless.
Tbh, that could be blown under wraps by the same reason Phoenix is effectively a diffrent character outside of court. In the 7 years, she just got emotionally softer for some reason. Having a timeskip of the better part of a decade really smooths over most issues in character writing.
@@psychronia he is more competent at prosecuting than everyone except the OG von Karma, also some witnesses my opinion would beat von Karma at prosecuting if they so chose the profession
Well, the best clue we have is Trucy’s spite. She was 14 when during the events of AJ, and seeing as this takes place before AJ, let’s assume she’s 13 here. When she met Wright, she was 8, which was 1 year after the events of TT During the events of TT, Franziska was 19, which means she was 20 when Trucy met Wright 13 - 8 = 5 20 + 5 = 25 So we can approximate that Franziska is 25 when this takes place
Can I just say, Franziska was by far the weakest main prosecutor of the OG trilogy. Childish and annoying. It'd be great if she turned up and was way more mature and badass. Still has the whip, but doesn't use it to hit other people for no good reason.
