They had the best writers..... I can't think of one episode I thought naaaah... but a lot that I loved.... Of course, they had superb actors to write it for....Frasier goes into TV history as the best sitcom ever... at least in my book...
It was 100 times better then friends. It has a perfect blend of comedy And emotional moments. Friends is crap compared to Fraser. Fraser is a fucking MASTERPIECE of a sitcom.
OMG ! I absolutely looove that weather ! (NOT joking). Imagine waking up like that every day and sitting at the table with a cup of coffee, to watch the rain .
Lego set inspired by Frasier: ideas.lego.com/projects/9bf80286-d635-4471-932d-e16665294632 Please support this lego set. When it will have 10 000 supporters, Lego will make this Frasier set :)
Frasier was the perfect combination of writing, characters, acting, and technology. Everything about it is completely believable, which is the definition of "situation comedy". All of the characters are unique and real.
IKR?!? I was thinking of the episode with Estelle Parsons and the Olympic medal and cracking up like a nut job! This is in my top 5 all time favorite shows.
I always love the scene when he tries to cheer up Daphne about her feeling down about her love life as she smoking a cigarette and then Frasier is the one who ends up depressed and takes the cigarette from her. Lol. One of my fave scenes there. 🤣🤣🤣
Thank you, finally, for showing whole episodes - or at least lengthier scenes - instead of just small, isolated snippets. It makes a big difference and much more enjoyable.
Thank you so much. I’ve always loved Frazier although none of my friends and family understood the fantastic intelligent humour… so sad because I think it’s so witty and hilarious.
Which is weird as I missed the references as a kid, but there’s still plenty of character and situational humor. Frasier is the definition of “multi-level humor”
@@yellowblanka6058 Thank you… ikr? I loved 🥰 it! It was my go to when I had study breaks… I found I was inspired and actually had a huge influence on my dry sense of humour! Anyway, enough about me, me, me, and I, I, I !!! Isn’t it funny how we start to understand some of the humour as we mature and have relative inevitable experiences in life! Wouldn’t it be fantastic to have a friend or partner that enjoys and appreciates your favourite shows? I watched hours of my boyfriend’s skateboarding 🛹 clips… but he can’t, won’t or is too scared to “focus” on Frazier for 10 minutes?!?! ✨🎄✨ ✨🎁✨🥂🍾✨🎊
I love watching Frazier clips on RU-vid, we live North of Seattle and really get the rain ☔️ jokes! We loved Cheers too, but Frazier is the best, so funny, so entertaining and such a wonderful cast!! Frazier, Niles, Martin, Daphne, Roz & Eddie are all so good, I miss shows on TV that were actually great 👍 So sick of reality tv, bad sitcoms, but we always have Frazier to laugh with!
I never really cared for petite women until I saw Jane Leeves on the Benny Hill Show back in the 80's. She is the main reason I watched the show!!! She's gorgeous 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
You know you're intelligent when you find Frasier funny 😂 I used to look down at this when I was younger and then one night I was laughing my ass off 🤣 love this show to no end ❤️
A good show. I also like Cheers, Taxi & Wings. John Mahoney, excellent actor. The cast played well off each other. Love Eddie. Frazier's love life had good funny plots. ❤ I love the scene when Niles gets hot & foamy. Funny. Good parts.
Thank you soooooo much I love this show it's actually my favorite I so appreciate you for showing these please play many more full episodes God bless you and keep you safe and meet your every need Peggy Lynn Smith from Corbin Kentucky
Recipe for instant hit: Prepare script for “The Man Who Came to Dinner” and combine with Kelsey Grammer as Whiteside. Mix carefully with quality supporting cast.
I love Kelsey and crew, but the talks of bringing it back? Ehhh. People said that about Frasier to Cheers, but this time? I don't know. It was a perfect storm of writers and actors. Today? Mmm? I've always said the continuation of Frasier should have been in the New Yorker as a cartoon, lampooning high society as well as continuing the series. A show? Mmmm. I'm an advert for MM's
i never understood why he lived in a high rise bachelor pad with the skyline in the background. frazier doesn’t seem like the type to live in a place like that
And I totally agree, Fire Alarms are the worst noise ever. I’ve unfortunately been in a burning house & I’ll take the alarm, but why does it have to go off constantly?
Jane Leeves is the main reason why I watched Frasier. Not only is she extremely gorgeous, her accent was such a turn on, and the Crain brothers were just a bit too pretentious for me!!!!
8:48-51 -- I always enjoyed watching Frasier when it was on in the 90's (Gen-X moment) but given events in the last few years, particularly since 2019, that bit has not aged well.
A show that transcends network - there's almost something "Star Trek"-ish about this. Although "Trek" (and I mean the UPN/Warner Bros./WB era of Trek [and I don't mean Tribune's crap with a "The" before "WB"]) is far more leisurely than "Frasier" which is more stiff and philosophical. Not surprised it was on WPIX, in reruns, in NY. Because there's nothing truly UPNish about it, but there's nothing The WBish about it either. People, types like Mr. Crane are the people who are gonna hit it hard, and set the stage for intergalactic peace and hopefully international peace on earth.
He and Niles use a British-sounding accent it’s called mid-Atlantic. Used to be common among the US upper class. Probably picked it up in private school’s.
The actress is from Essex. I've never heard a Manc talking like her. And the expressions she uses are ridiculous. I have never heard any British person call an umbrella a bumbershoot.
I think women should do that too since they can't have abortion. Drop the kid off @ the guy's house & say " since all you care about is your selfish pleasure, this is yours to take care of now"
Oh dear, American society reflected in T.V. shows, assault weapons good, a cigarette bad. There is a streak of righteous puritanism running through it all. We should call the hang-'em-&-flog-'em brigade. Just saying.
Only 5 seconds in and i can already spot a few things. This show is a hodgepodge of things thrown together and it doesnt hit any of them , It has the neo-conservatism polices of the 80s-early 90s, the comedy wavelength of I love lucy and The brady bunch and the american laissez-faire hospitality of the midwest.
WTF. I see your a product of the times as well. The next generation can take you apart with the same finesse. I mean it’s a sit com for Christ sake not high art. Are you a self righteous conceited fop all the time? I’m guessing yes?
I'll assume "5 seconds" is hyperbole, as we're not past the title card at that point? Also, I wish young people would avail themselves of the many online dictionaries that exist; I'm afraid you don't know what "neoconservative" means. At no point in this small collection of clips do the characters advocate for free-market capitalism and an aggressively interventionist foreign policy. Speaking of "policy", I suspect you mean "values" as opposed to "policy", given the sitcom context. Moving on, I suppose "wavelength" is supposed to be "style"? In any case, the show is not at all reminiscent of "I Love Lucy" or "The Brady Bunch", which are comedies about marriage and/or families with children. "Frasier" was notable for NOT being about marriage: the most famous marriage (Niles and Maris) discussed was depicted from Niles' viewpoint only; we never meet Maris. Also, Frasier and Niles, while having children, are not shown actively parenting much, if at all - the show was about them as adults rather than as just parents. Finally, I'm not sure what "laissez-faire hospitality of the midwest" is supposed to mean in this context. Hands-off hotel or tourist service in Cincinnati or Chicago? The show is set in Seattle. No one is forcing you to like the show, but if you rant about it online, at least be coherent. This may require watching several episodes, so that you'll know what's going on. You should also get in the habit of looking up every "fancy" word you use before typing and posting your comment.
@@classiclife7204 Regarding your reply to Derlen x, Bravo! Best reply to a censorious twit I’ve read in a LONG time. Especially liked the advice regarding the failure of geography (I’m not from the US but suspected Seattle was no where near the mid west) and the advice to actually know the definition of a complex word before using it, gold! Derlen x first class example of style over substance. Ironically a product of the time. I’m guessing a liberal arts major who’s been sucked into the modern self hating grievance culture??
@@rogerthornhill1491 Who knows - might be a bright kid with something interesting to say one day but he's definitely putting the cart before the horse. If he'd simply said, "I found this boring" it would've been fine. However, I am a little tired of the kids not knowing what words or phrases mean. My current pet peeves are "begging the question" and "gatekeeping", heh
