I have to disagree with you. I remember when this song first came out and I sang it on one our school talent shows. Fred sounded better in his old age. If you saw them sing this on the PBS Doo Wop oldies you'd agree as well.

Thank you forever Fred Parris for giving this world your beautiful song. Brings back a time when there was love and kindness in this world and life seemed so simple and easy. I can close my eyes and listen to this song annd be transported back to those days in my mind. My escape from the reality of today. Thanks and love♥

82 years old and still has every ounce of God given talent he was born with. blows my mind that artists like Fred Parris and other great musicians and singers like him do not get the credit and respect they deserve for helping to form American society with their art.

The original song was recorded by the late Marty Kugell who died in 1980. You sir, are an imposter.
@TheSheriffofCaliPlanes
@TheSheriffofCaliPlanes 7 месяцев назад
@@Chinchilla_in_the_Villa Sir, YOU are the imposter. The song was written by Fred Parris and recorded by the Five Satins in 1956. I was 11 years old. Your Marty Kugell produced and recorded the song but did not write or record it. The only first Marty Kugell had was he was the first to record it - for the 5 satins. Marty Kugell produced the song. The saxophone solo was played by Vinny Mazzetta of New Haven. The rhythm section was Doug Murray (bass), Bobby Mapp (drums) and Curlee Glover (piano). It was originally released on Kugell's Standord label with the B-side "The Jones Girl" I accept your apology.

Fred, Stanley Dortche, Bill Baker, Lou Peeples, and Tommy Killebrew have passed. The members on the original recording(Besides Fred) (Al Denby, Jim Freeman, Eddie Martin, and Jesse Murphy) all were alive at least in the 1990s. Eddie and Jim I think are still alive

What Catholic parish would desecrate a sanctuary and hold a performance of any sort in this holy place. With such irreverence of the blessed sacrament present upon the altar. What bishop allowed this and why wasn’t he chastised?
