Love your videos Brian. I'm researching and planning my Zenith 701 build. Give us a video update on your build. All of the build videos are appreciated. Can never get too much information. Very helpful and informative because every build is just a little bit different and it's interesting to see different ways of accomplishing the same goal. What's the odds of you getting to do a build update with Jon Humberd and his current "projects"? Anyway, thanks for all the videos and "Back to Work!"

When I watch any video where some skill is required I wonder for instance take Fred and yourself what was his and your professions ? I know these aircraft designers try to make it as easy as possible but you do need some aptitude.

For a Rans you can go build a rudder at the factory in half a day. Gives you a good idea if you have enough skill. I believe most people could learn the skills needed. Staying motivated long enough is way more important than having the skills beforehand I believe.

@@thomaslindow2104 I suspect if you were in the trades, for instance, and have some mechanical ability beforehand, it would make it a lot easier and quicker.

It would indeed help to have some mechanical aptitude before beginning such a project for sure. But for those who haven't, there are MANY workshops and training sessions available throughout the year and at many locations teaching Welding, Metal Working, Painting, Wiring, Wood Working etc. That would be an excellent place to start. In the USA we have Sun-N-Fun and -Airventure in Oshkosh. (as examples). And they post which workshops and which days well in advance. I work FULL TIME now promoting Aviation here with The Experimental Aircraft Channel. Lot's of "life experiences" before this for sure.
