anyone who knows Freddie knows that in that performance he was very calm compared to usual because he didn't want to take away the scene from his diva, because she is his inspiration and he was very much in love with her musically. For him this solo album was a big goal as the disease was advancing and he wanted to do something of him with his favorite voice of him. I remember I had read an interview with Pavarotti where he got very angry with the Spanish opera singer and told him that she was wrong to blend the music of the Gods with rock. but this fusion of these two incredible voices went so well that in the following years Pavarotti made duets with anyone. Sometimes with not so pleasant results.

Awwww Freddie & Montsy (Montserrat Caballe’) a duet of Heavenly music!! This song was used at the 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games. Sadly, Freddie passed away November 24, 1991. My favorite song off the Barcelona album is THE GOLDEN BOY!! 🌿🌺🌿 Freddie wrote the album of their duets!

Montserrat Caballé Folch; Barcelona, 1933 - 2018) Catalan singer (Barcelona, Spain). Trained in Barcelona, she stood out for her lyrical soprano voice, with bello pianissimo in the high register. Specialist in the bel canto repertoire, she was one of the first voices in the world due to her vocal quality, inspiration and perfect mastery of technique.
