well the thing is, it's not a typical "scammer". He actually is selling the cruise I think. i think the boat is real. It just costs money and isn't free. (not sure though)
some of the younger people may not be aware of this but this scam is as old as the hills. its been going of for over 40 years and its perfectly legal. your govt is well aware of this cam, they know the companies behind the scam and these companies even trade on wall street. in the eyes of the elite this fraud and deception passes as simply a good, profitable business model. after all; if companies couldn't mislead and lie to you they wouldn't make any money and capitalism would be just a small, insignificant blip on the trash heap of history.
I get these calls all the time. Credit cards, IRS threats, microsoft warnings, etc. it's really sad that there are so many victims falling for this especially senior citizens.
@@electrahood6969 it always feels bad to hear Indian in front of the word Scammers. It's not only Indians... Bangladeshi, pakistani, srilankans they all have same accent.
He's in the Philippines actually. Doing a pretty good American accent I gotta admit. But I know the telltale signs, and i see red everytime I hear it, lol.
When I was young and didn't know any better, I worked for one of these companies. I know now it's a scam. You do get a trip, but by the end of it you're going to pay way more than you ever expected, and your room and stuff are going to suck. I worked in Canada and I'm pretty sure I called Americans.
I actually scammed a scammer by telling him I need you to send me 10$ for gas money so I can make my way to my nearest bank to withdraw a deposit with no fee than go to a local market and buy 1000$ worth of gift cards to send to him.. he end up sending me 10$ and i just earned 10$ in like 5 min
+Andloo Yunty i used to work for a subsidiary of "Caribbean cruise line." the company is real. so is the cruise. but it's shitty, there are all kinds of hidden fees totaling hundreds, sometimes thousands. there are mandatory timeshare presentations as well. the owner of the company is Dan Lambert, the same guy who owns the MMA team american top team. he also has a stake in the primary timeshare company they sell their tours to. he also owns several other questionable companies with names similar to well respected brands, such as how his company caribbean cruise line is so similar in name to royal caribbean cruise line.
+Boss mymiami.wordpress.com/2014/03/12/caribbean-cruise-line-two-controversial-owners/ Seems that he has a shady history. Also a guy by name of James Verrillo also owns it.
you can tell the guy on the phone is a rookie and he doesn't wanna scam people. i feel for the dude, he's probably making $8 an hour to work that shitty job and hates life.
Look at my long name I bet you love this long name as much as me Its as long as a ruler maybe longer I'm pretty sure telemarketing in general is already a bad thing to have on a resume XD
Look at my long name I bet you love this long name as much as me Its as long as a ruler maybe longer He can still do it and just not use them as a reference. lol
I love how we went from a free cruise to a complementary cruse, to a $59 dollar cruise, to a $180 dollar cruise and throw in gratuity and a supplementary charge for the hell of it.
yeah not much security there. Even if they honestly want to give him a cruise, they're not protecting his credit card information very well when others are secretly overhearing the number on the call.
This happened to me and they wanted a check or money order for taxes. They sent federal express 3 times to my house. I sent them empty envelopes. The 3rd time I sent them a letter how stupid they were and I wasted their money and time. They called me and we had a nice conversation about scamming people. It was pretty fun scamming the scammers.
U2Yes 1DNo EDCP/Sabrina Kitty/Brown/Hooves No for this one they just have some ex con who hires 18 year Olds with no experience who giggle like babies when they're confronted.
He's not a scammer. He works for a travel company that does cold calling. The cruise is real, but they get past the free part by giving you a free cruise, but making you pay all the surcharges and extra fees.
Eric Tounge they are very nice, these Indian peoples are very nice to you as long as they suck you out. Trust me,I have been working with them for years
When a scammer calls always very politely say " what's your code sir".They will say "What code?" You answer," You can not talk to anyone at this end without "the code",sir. They get off the line real quick or they start arguing about "the code" and you keep on saying "What's s the code sir"
Growing up, Atháir always did tell me 80% of the time things that are too good to be true aren’t. The other 20? They’re the little things in life like a surprise gift or a good deed. This right here is a perfect example of his words. Thanks Dad. Also thank you PP for doing this. Flood those scammers
I think they have to watch these ad presentations and stuff on the cruise and pressure you into buying a timeshare for thousands. But it's still basically a $118 for two people cruise, except you spend half the day listening to pressured sales pitches.
@@sherrydobbins1409 Almost all of them do have real cruises, they're just really shady in their practices. I'm not denying there might be some scammer gangs out there that come up with any random "prize" and ask for a payment to receive it, that is common. But that is not what this is about, this is the specific, recognised cruise scam. And they are real cruises, you just have to pay a load of fees and you get pressured into joining very pressured sales pitches for most the time you are on the ship, making it a bad experience and not a holiday at all. It's an extreme version of when you go into an Aston Martin dealership and they give you wine and snacks, except these guys are just saying "hey you won some free wine and snacks, come to the dealership!" Get what I mean?
I guilted the dude on the scam You've won a free cruise Me: OMG I'm going home! Scammer: ...yes... Me: mamá we're going home *crys fake tears of joy* Scammer: ok... Me: thank you so much! Scammer: *tells truth* Me: *fake cries*
Thank you Matt. I've heard of people falling for this "free cruises" and end up having to pay more than what a normal boarding pass is worth. Once they get their claws in you, they milk you to death little by little. I truly despise anyone involved in these types of operations.
I love how you can hear him woo-hooing as his voice fades off into the distance right at the start and then comes back to the scammer, absolutely brilliant lol!
You obviously know nothing about how call centers work. When a call is RECEIVED, when the rep answers, the call is automatically recorded. Same thing as when you call your T.V. or internet provider.
There's more than enough time to pull my iphone out to record audio as long as I don't let it go past 4 rings. As soon as I don't recognize a number, I start recording within seconds just in case it's a scammer. Unfortunately they haven't been calling for a while. I think I've been blacklisted. Booooooo.
Wow I worked at that call center for 3 weeks..same script.. it's located in Ft. Lauderdale.. the way it actually works is if you pay those taxes they call it plus a bunch of other fees you can take the most basic non-inclusive of anything Cruise there is. but they are going to beat you up so bad trying to upsell you to whatever else they want to sell you that you don't even want the free part of it anymore and they know that that's why they do it cuz they don't want to give it to you and even if you do buy the upgrades another department will call you a few days from then more money and then they will never stop calling you. Yeah I couldn't do it to people when I realized.. I did a epic mid shift quit.. should of filmed it for RU-vid
Honestly, he looked like he was so disappointed and sad when he realized that he has to pay more money. I feel so bad for the people who ACTUALLY got scammed
Teset Utini dead ass happened to me once I was vacationing in Hawaii and a scammer called and said I won a trip to Hawaii and I was like I'm already in Hawaii but I'll take it
S I think you're a little more careful 3when is in your house for that you know dantdm will be there too and you l be the first to be mean and I need a subscriber to be a baby ok this is a piece of work for me that is active on a day to day basis in the middle east and the one who talked to you and david kiss me and you and david kiss me and you and david kiss me and oscar the most important of your lives and your friends have been in touch for the past 8years and the one who crashed into the house
There's this one response I want you to do if you ever get scam calls like this ever again. Pretend you were homeless and tell them how you finally got your life together & you're blessed for the offer they are giving you, the reason why I want you to do this is to see if the scammer him/her self will admit and say "sir/ma'am, I'm sorry this is fake" or "never mind", since you said you were homeless and got your life together, I want to see if people are seriously cold hearted enough to scam a person who "was" homeless. PLEASE SHARE/LIKE THIS COMMENT SO HE DOES THIS, ITLL BE A INTERESTING SOCIAL EXPIREMENT!

I had one of those, and phoned them back. I gave him a difficult time, told him I was just playing with him and hung up. I tried calling back with a different name and accent, but found out they'd blocked me. That works.
