I think those are called ice tongs, used to transport blocks of ice. When I was a kid the Iceman would being a huge block on his shoulder (with a piece of leather to protect him) into the house and put it in the wooden icebox. It would last about 3 days. If we asked him he would chip off small chunks for us. Wonderful treat in the summertime.

Definitely keep it. My ex-husband grandfather had a Kubota and we lived on the same land as he did and we all used it. We loved it. We had a small trailer on the back also to haul rocks and other stuff in. We ran that thing in the ground and it kept on going. I believe and don't quote me on it but I think that long piece you called a big chunk of metal is used to break up cement. Like sidewalks and such. That is a whole of amazing objects in that trailer. My uncle used to have a shed that he kept old antique tools in and I've seen and used many of those myself growing up. I've had many blisters slinging one of those weed whackers. I loved seeing all your finds. Great video Brandon.

that bar you call a chunk is a pinch bar to help dig holes in hard soils, pry on things ext. It's hardened steel. just lift it with the dirty pointed end pointed to the ground and let the weight of it alone and gravity go down and penetrate hard ground. expensive to find a new one that is as strong as those old ones and wont bend

Its a D600 and seems to come in alot of applications, I posted this and had a guy that lives close and he said he would come a play with it and he said he can get it up and running in an hour or two, it seems to be a nice little motor.

My mother did the same thing with my personal stuff. When I would find my missing items at her house she would say "Oh, you weren't using it." But, like your tools, I knew exactly what was missing. She drove me nuts with this habit my whole life until she passed away a few years ago at 99 when I was 74. Geesh! ; )

get an estimate and check parts availability before dumping any money into it. it looks like a 52" cutting deck on it. check the belts, deck and spindles. kubota diesel engines will last forever when maintained properly. very nice score. also those old metal deck chairs are worth some money. people will buy them and refinish them

I got a guy coming Sat to look at the mower and he said he can get it running like it is in about an hour so we will see. But I'm sure new belts, oil, tune up things lol needs to be done.

Hey Brandon how are you I did my first scrap run my sons a plumber and they replaced the old pipe with new one and I got over 200 pounds of copper from son it’s was in his yard at his business at 3:90 a pound got 780 $ not bad for my first run thanks for sharing be safe and travel well lance and family

Check your yellow pages to see if they have a Kubota dealer ship in your area. Have them check it out for you to see what is wrong with it.

But for how much? And I looked up the motor (just the motor) on ebay and it sales for parts for 1600 dollars. If I break it down the pump is 500, head 600, short block 600 so I dont think selling it as a complete unit is the way to go but I do have a guy coming to look at it Sat. so we will see. I would LOVE to get it running and keep it however.
