Hey Swartz. Just popping in to say a lot of the info you provide on your channel is SUPER helpful! I originally had been looking into joining with little to no background on the army and maybe talked to a recruiter a bit early (Whoops, but great guy nonetheless and will enlist with him). Watching your channel has helped me better prepare myself for the commitment I've always dreamed of making. Keep doing what you're doing because I'm sure there's many more like myself who are nervous or don't know much about what it takes to join as well as what it takes after joining! Update: Hey Swartz, skater from Texas, recently passed my Asvab in the worst condition. Tired, exhausted, had no sleep in days, maybe 30 minutes, recruiter said I’ll need pen and paper. I didn’t use those or anything. Just my own mind and build up of confidence in the moment. Only had a matter of hours to complete, Very very straining. I tested myself and sort of took a chance. But I passed and did great. I wanted to see if I really had it in me. I am more than proud of myself and more than excited to move up. Hoping to make a good career in Texas joining the National Guard. Excited to tell you, your help and advice has definitely been part of the process. Thank you Sir hope to meet you one day, your the best 🫡

Q: I have question how do you join the future soldier preparatory course do you tell the recruiter on the phone, online or in person? And does the mos you choose matter when looking to join the program?

Normal enlistment, no issues being dual citizen but majority of the clearance positions will require you to renounce your foreign citizenship for that opportunity.

Hey I was looking at the reserves and saw that the army is sitting at 4k a year and then I looked at the air force and it’s sitting at 2.2k why is that this is coming from their websites. I thought they all get paid the same?

I’m just commenting here because it’s your latest video and I’m hoping you see this. I know because I’ve been watching your videos that you won’t tell us to lie by omission. I smoked weed in high school, it’s been years now, and I may never do it again. Is that something I should bring up to my recruiters? I’ve heard from vets that they just blew through Meps no problem. If I was your recruit would you prefer I told you?

Have this discussion with your assigned recruiter. I’m bounded by regulation to inform you to disclose it. However, it’s not uncommon for recruiters to advise not listing it unless it’s medically or criminally documented. Unless you fail the drug and alcohol test and not documented, the Military will never know unless you disclose it. Hey brother so basically I have this medical condition called schizophrenia and I haven’t taken medication in 6-7 years but I feel completely fine even while growing up I felt fine I’m currently getting processed by Meps I have to send them my medical records but tbh I feel like my recruiter is giving up on me men and I don’t know what to do I really wanna join .

Gots be living in US and obtain your green card. Unfortunately You’ll need to go through immigration to obtain a Green Card (permanent resident card) and I cannot help in anyway. I cannot give a letter inviting you, sponsoring you or letter of intent. I don’t know the process so I’d suggest starting online or the closest US Embassy. Once you have that, this could be an option for you but not until then. Good luck and stay blessed!

Just don’t… Wait until you get done with all your initial entry training and speak with your immediate leadership on the current tattoo policy as to not get something that could get you discharged or post out of pocket to remove and be punished. How you enhance your training in the guard such as going to airborne school or special forces school and if so how long do you have to wait after basic training.

Unrelated to subject if video but do you know if its possible for me to join if i have a misdemeanor domestic violence charge that i pled guilty to. I have a singed letter from my 'victim' - sister - emphatically stating that it was not a serious incident and charges were pressed out of anger and should have never been brought. She also writes in the letter about my great moral character. Im attempting to join space force, btw. Thank you

Normally that would be a non-waiverable offense but that’s a sibling, not a romantic relationship based DV. Might be eligible for a waiver based on my experience. If you’ve completed your MSO and coming back into the Guard already MOST Qualified, yes you can come back for one year. I’ll have to look up tomorrow if you haven’t completed your MSO yet whether MOS Q’d or not and let you know. Unfortunately, after I post this response, I’ll probably not be able to find this. I’m meeting my recruiter for the first time tomorrow, I talked to him on the phone already and he asked me if I’ve smoked w*** and I honestly told him a little bit and sometimes every once in a while legally of course, is that gonna crush chances to get through meps? hands down the biggest unanswered question I’ve seen in the military videos. Would love to know your thoughts someone needs to make a video of that, me and soo many people are looking for the best answer, when I watch all the videos that say what not to say to recruiter It almost makes me not want to try, but I want to join the guard so bad, I really like your channel the most man you seem like the coolest guy doin on these thanks Schwartz🫡
