Free motion quilting tutorial - Abstract texture - ebbing lines 

Perfect pattern to practice your quilting. You can make the lines wriggle or just wavy. Then echo. At any random place branch out and change direction. The path you take can be random. Up and down, taking curves. As you will start tracking down the previous path, a texture will emerge. There will be small areas, of irregular shapes where you cannot echo anymore. They will add extra texture. Try drawing it first and you will see how calming and enjoyable experience it is.
