I think the reason I love your organization videos so much is that you aren't trying to organize too much stuff! It's annoying trying to watch someone organize dozens shirts into a drawer or enough toys to run a daycare and then listen to them complain about a lack of storage space! You have just enough to make life enjoyable....but not too much that it becomes overwhelming. Good work!

You have very clever ideas! I love the shoe boxes in the refrigerator and the cutting board from the dollar tree for the bathroom drawers. And! Of course, the fact that this didn’t cost anything. Love it.

Your January organizing videos really inspired me to clear out some clutter, make some donations of items I was not using therefore making more room for things I was actually using! I started in the kitchen and then did my Dining room sideboard, including ironing and neatly folding all of tablecloths and napkins (after again donating what I no longer needed or wanted which made more room for what I do use). My spaces are functioning so much better! Now on to the basement and master bath! Thank you for more inspiration and encouragement!

Dollar tree has these space saver hangers where you can hang 5 hangers on it and then it drops down to give you more space. That might help a little.

Hilary, you’re brilliant! I have two baskets in my kitchen drawers that I’m always moving back into place. I have sticky-tack also so off to remedy that problem right now. Thank you! Keeping decluttered baskets to shop from is a great idea, also.

I read a few years ago that refrigerating bread will make it stale and that freezing was the best way to store. I've been baking homemade bread for nearly 30 years and I then started freezing most of the loaves after baking. They stay fresh and I'm no longer throwing out moldy rolls or loaves. Refrigerating might prevent the mold, but it does make it stale. Love your content and that you do this all on a budget! -Sue

I love my fridge since I've started using containers to organize in it. And we're not wasting food cause it doesn't sit in the dark corners. Great tips! I like the containers in the bath vanity. I'll have to try that. Thanks!

I adopted your egg container and it has made a big difference! I spent $$ on some plastic egg storage but it wasn’t working. An open box on the top shelf is easy access for me and far away from the baby!

Interesting that you mentioned this...I realized how much time I waste during the day when I could be tackling small projects. For instance I realized in 10 minutes I can have the baby's bottles washed and feed the cat. In 20-30 minutes I can give my older daughter a bath and get her into pjs. In 1 hour I can get groceries and put them away and grab more paper towels from the basement.

Thank you very much for your video! I have a good solution for "other people's stuff" like your sisters ate etc. I keep every paper bag I get, clip a strip of paper with the person's name on the side with a clothes pin and store them in the top of our closet. Every time we meet people I just have to look at the top and see if I have a bag with the right name on it. I can dump everything in there that belongs to the person or I want to offer (like discarded stuff that might match their interests etc) and never have to look around for everything and forget half of it at home ;-)

I really enjoyed the video. Jan. seems the perfect time to declutter. I have been doing an area or two each day. I feel I can think better when things are organized. I also purchased small bins for my fridge as well and it works out perfect. So glad you uploaded it was nice to see you again.

I’m guilty of hanging cloth bags on doorknobs and leaving them there and then don’t really “see” them. So I’m adopting your idea of keeping them folded in the closet near my front door. Loved this video, Hilary!

I use bins in my fridge too but didn’t think about plastic shoeboxes! For food safety reasons I hope you finish all the older eggs before you add new ones. Perhaps you could keep the newest in their cartons until all the old ones are used. Your house if definitely organized!! Good idea of using cutting boards as shelf liners!

Oh we absolutely use all the eggs 😅 Our standard order is 3 dozen every two weeks and sometimes we need another!

We use a lot of eggs, too, and use a bin to store them. I found an egg holder (maybe Easter clearance?) that I put in the bottom. Makes it easy to stack eggs and I just turn the bin around so older eggs are always in the front.

Looks great! I’m still working on decluttering things also. We got our coat closet cleaned out the end of December. We hadn’t gone through it since we moved in back in 2013. Lol. Long overdue. My refrigerator is always a struggle to keep organized. I have yogurts in a bin and I was trying to do what you were doing by putting meat for the week in it but not sure it’s working out. I’m thinking about using it to put the containers with leftovers in them so we know this needs used first. A work in progress.

Thank you, yes it’s called Horizon Gray by Benjamin Moore but we have it color matched to Behr, it’s a lovely green-gray, the same color in our son’s room 🤍

Did you recycle your leftover Christmas cards? I’m hoping to create a little box or Manila envelope of Christmas cards for each of my kids. We started doing photo cards after we had kids. I’d like to save them a card from each year so that by the time they move out, they’ll have a collection of family photos/Christmas cards they can look through and share with their future kids 🙂
