It has been a while since we put together the "electric smallswords", i.e. épées, with buzzboxes (more about them here: • Electric Épée For HEMA? ), and after using them for a while, we can confirm that, sometimes it is even more interesting when they do NOT register a touch, compared to when they do.
They are definitely a fun tool, even if they are not as "smart" as a full setup.
