FreeWing Airush wing demo (Nitro N-Team, AIR v3) 

hey bud, thanks so much! I'm so stoked that people watch the vids, period. double stoked when someone digs them. so it's really my pleasure, and hugely appreciated! As far as the v2 vs v3, I really do want to do that. I was just out on a v3 7m the other day, did it back-to-back with a 7m Vision. I would have done an 8m v2 vs v3 but my 8m currently has many holes in it... doh! working on fixing that. I was hoping this year to switch to a 7m CWC... but now I'm not really sure I wanna do that. don't get me wrong, the v3 7m was fine, and I think I preferred it to the Vision, but there may be truth to the v2 being more powerful than the v3. which kinda sucks, I wanted to instantly notice a big change like on the smaller sizes. I'm now holding out for the Ventis now before I make that decision. hard handles on a big wing are my preference. thanks bud, more soon and I wish you an awesome weekend in Minnesota and a happy 4th!

yeah def worth considering about repair costs! I take it places like airtime carry that stuff, but nothing local. I just put multiple holes in my 8mCWC v2... so I'm repairing it but on the prowl for a new light wind wing. I just demoed a v3 CWC 7m and a 7m Vision and wasn't impressed with either. so the two frontrunners are the Ventis or the 6.7m PRO that FreeWing has. but talk about exotic materials on that one! however they do claim they are much more durable to things like foil slashes. I know my wing dealer has the Ventis on order... have you tried one yet? I swear the CWC handles are a little different than the v3 5.5m I have, I could be wrong. but the Vision hard handles were soooo nice. hard handles are really nice on a light wind wing.

@@OCEANBOUND1 i didnt tried nor seen ventis on my spot yet. yeah if i had to buy a new wing i will look for canopee material used , i would like to try the north mode 5.5 im probably looking for a sucessor of 5m, i decided i will maintain only a 2 quiver wing quiver since durability is an issue . Honestly if i had the bugdet i would only keep a 4m wing and get myself an afs blackbird or a dw board , making a one wing, one board, and some foil quiver but im on a very tight bugdet atm i decided to start buying fone foil gear ;) starting with a 7seas for the light wind.

@@youdigsurf right on, I love the two wing quiver. and I'd love a blackbird... my friend has one and loves it. again, I can't really afford them. AFS reached out recently and wanted to know if I'd demo some of their foils on my channel, so maybe there's a bro-deal to be had afterwards for a blackbird but otherwise I don't have the funds for cool new toys either :(

@@OCEANBOUND1 go ahead with afs they have very cool new foil ( the pure and the silk) i demoed the silk on a demo day. i know some people who kept the gear they demoed in exchange for some marketing in other brand ;) you never know !

Oh man I want to! They didn't have any for demo unfortunately. I'm not even sure how many are in this country. I just demoed x2 bog wings yesterday, hoping one would be my next lightwind wing. neither blew me away, so now I'm eyeing the Freewing 6.7m PRO or the new Duotone Ventis. What size have you been on? any comment on how tight is the canopy compared to the Nitro or AIR?

I got 3-4-5 m2 went directly from Strike V2. The 5 is size wise like my v2 5.5 m2…….I compared the sizes before I sold the V2. From 9-10 knots I’m flying with my 5.0……I’m around 80 kg. I don’t like big wings. I think it’s more important with a good foil…..I’m on Mikes Lab (540, 800 & 1000 cm2). I think you will feel the Pro a bit more heavy in waves……

thanks so much, this is great info to have! Curious… do you in have any comments on how tight the canopy is? If I get one, I think it will be a 6 or 6.7 and I saw one pic where the canopy looked loose but it was just a pic and a weird perspective. How’s the weight of these?

The canopy is loose, like a race windsurfing sail….no problem when riding and powered up. They are powerful. I won t use them without harness…. I love the material- but when finished- l only roll them like a windsurfing sail….I only want to pack them in the back - when traveling for a longer trip

@@Ahjsport innnnnteresting! I was thinking a loose canopy wouldn't be so good in light wind situations, but maybe I'm totally off on that. I've got some serious thinking/soul searching to do about my next big wing, and this makes it complicated (it's a good thing). Thanks bud I really appreciate the user feedback.
