What if the Freezer is brand new? I bought a big Whirlpool this past Monday. Plugged it up and it's freezing but I haven't heard the motor shut off yet. Concerning.

My freezer is on the back porch. Icecream is soft but not melted, everything is froze. Just noticed both lights are on at the bottom in the front. What would that mean?

None of this explains why the freezer would constantly run. More of an explanation of how the unit works.

Yes it does! Switch a fridge freezer on and it will run all day unless all the components are working correctly to tell the unit to switch off. The video takes you through all the potential points of failure and how to check them. If one of the components that control the compressor fails then it will run all day as that's it's job. The compressor basically runs until the system tells it to stop.

Low on refrigerant. Meaning there is a leak. It it runs and gets cold or cool but not as cold as it should, then there's a good chance it's low on refrigerant.

My freezer is very cold and won't cycle off even with it turn down to 2

Same. Fridge freezer which gets very cold (ruining food in the fridge) and runs constantly. Replaced the freezer door gasket which looked like it might not be sealing. Replaced the thermostat. Still the same. Temperature is set to 1 (warmest setting)
