He's picking up a little bit of Nicole's attitude. Just a little tiny bit. Instead of asking Joey if it's fresh, he says, "This lady doesn't think our salmon is fresh" and tone when he says, "Oh no, she hasn't even ordered it yet" Both things said with a Nicole vibe that shows AARON thinks this person is an idiot. Had a problem customer that wasn't banned for some reason but would always accuse us of getting her food wrong when she ordered delivery from us. Had somehow finagled the owner's phone number a while ago so would always call the owner to complain too. Anyways, she would always memorise the server's name and talk shit about them to the owner and the next server to take her order, two months later. She would claim to have worked every position in the kitchen and that she was very nearly the co-owner of a high class restaurant. Which I all highly doubt, because she also said she was a professor and that and some other things were easily verifiable as false, so I suspect she was a serial liar.

Had a bar customer one time say we were selling old frozen soft shell crabs because they weren't "in season yet".. the owner walked out with a live crab on a plate and shut him up quickly.

I live in Central Alabama and I have people constantly ask if our seafood is fresh or frozen and I'm like .... we are landlocked. It's frozen but it keeps its freshness when it's frozen that's like the whole point of freezing stuff. They throw fits when I say frozen.

Honestly if you live on the coast, ALL THE FISH YOU GET IS TYPICALLY FLASH FROZEN ON THE BOAT, OR AT THE THE FISHERY. Fish spoils insanely quickly because the ocean and other bodies of water are typically slightly over refrigerator temperatures .

Its worth pointing out, you absolutely want your fish to be frozen at some point - at the very least on the boat - many fish contain parasites which are killed upon freezing, but, depending on how they are cooked (if at all) they may not be killed - also, with modern flash freezing, it makes absolutely no difference to taste - the water in the fish/meat/whatever is frozen so efficiently that cell walls barely have any time to rupture from the expansion of water into ice as it is frozen.

Flash frozen on the boat is the best for preserving the freshness ironically
