@@jonathangwynne1917 "Chemicals" obviously means unnatural synthetics, highly complex molecules, and substances at concentrations not found in the natural world's safe environments. Some generic cleaners are just ammonia and water, maybe with some citrus oil, alcohol, maybe a light acid. Some generic cleaners have stuff that's much harder to deal with like bleach, which you don't necessarily want to eat. I'm assuming that she knows what cleaner she's using, but as a general tip for someone who doesn't know a cation from an anion, baking soda isn't a bad choice.
Yes that is really bad for your board and can transfer to food items. Cut a lemon in half sprinkle salt on the board and scrub with the cut side of lemon. That's another option to just baking soda. Stay healthy dear!
I am going to grow some Turmeric this summer here in New Zealand. It is now spring, (September 2022). I am a very keen cook of Indian food and am thinking of putting the fresh Turmeric in with my favourite recipe for ginger and garlic paste, which also contains fresh chillies and coriander roots and leaves.
Your so pretty. Thank you for the tutorial Before I saw your video I made tumeric tea for the 1st time, and I have yellow fingers lol luckily, I did all dicing and grating in a old bowl in the sink lol less clean up
Great video, especially about how badly turmeric will stain your hands, cutting board, etc. Just bought my first piece of turmeric root today so I'll know to be extra careful.
and what's the point of removing the ginger or turmeric peel? they are antioxidant, in addition, potatoes and carrots are not peeled and eaten too, also like kiwi , red beets are also not peeled would you explain why you whiten them? also - don't you think that the tons of turmeric roots - are peeled for making turmeric powder? - hahaha who will be this crazy to do it by hand, it will take thousands of years of work, and the price will become astronomical for the product. they are heat treated and cut directly with the bark. I can't guess about specialized machines for curved roots: D so one more time, why you peel them? who told you that their peel is harmful
Great video, thanks. I would like to help with your audio though. Let me know, if you need help with it, I can fix it with Adobe Audition. This is just a favor, no secret agenda here 🤗 !!! Cheers
Funny. I skipped the start, watched to the end and decided the only thing I didn't like was that she was wearing gloves. Then I saw the other comments, watched the beginning, head slap.
Time to not use gloves and just have yellow fingers? It is temporary and the gloves breaking down in the landfill or oceans is not. So not worth it - would encourage remake of the video. Thanks for the info even so on Tumeric.
