These are the types of tutorials I've been looking for! Thank you so much! I hope you keep sharing with us about tips and tricks because I will be watching every one of your tutorials! I love this.
You are awesome I've watched some of your tutorials several times. Well explained a beautiful woman creating beautiful freshies. Thank you for your time. Do you sale wholesale ? I do own a botique so thought I'd ask but I'm trying also to create these on my own , slow process. Thanks again
So I bake at a 315 and the length of time really depends on the size of the mold, the wings are pretty large so those usually go 18-20 minutes. I bake all of my molds on the lower rack of my oven so the heat is more concentrated on the detailed side of the freshie. I always do a really firm press about 2-3 minutes before it’s done baking and then again once I take it out. Even still they aren’t always perfect but I have never noticed the scent being affected.
Great detailed Video. I was wondering when you added fragrance. Did you add fragrance to the clear beads prior to so it cured and then added color or? Thanks for all your videos they are so helpful.
I bought some to try and although I really liked the way it looked I could smell the freshie straight through the shrink wrap which means it did not lock in the scent and it would not last long packaged that way. I don’t know if there is maybe a polypropylene shrink wrap out there somewhere, if there is that could potentially work.
So I was curious and looked it up, they do make polypropylene shrink wrap but it says it’s used least often because it has a higher melting point and is less stable when shrinking
Depends. I do it a couple different ways. First way is I mix it with the beads in the cup, second way is I sprinkle it on the top about a minute before the freshie is done baking and then put it back in the oven for the last minute, the third way is I sprinkle it onto the pan or mold and then pour my beads in and bake and the fourth way is I rub it onto the silicone mold or mat until it is completely covered, tap out the excess, pour in my beads and bake ☺️
Because this design is so detailed it’s hard to work around the nails so after I demold I heat a nail with a lighter (holding the end with pliers) and melt the holes.
Does the fragrance stick to the mold? I’ve had some molds that the fragrance sticks to and no matter how many times I wash/clean them they still smell like the fragrance so I can’t re use the molds
I don’t ever clean my molds between fragrances, I can always smell the last fragrance used on the mold but I can never smell it on the next freshie I make. Did you try a different fragrance and could you smell the previous fragrance on the next freshie?
I have a question about the beads you said you at times buy yours from buyitshipit I went to buyitshipit and place an order of beads but they asked what shape of beads my question is what shape do you buy? Thank you
I don’t actually make molds but to my knowledge it’s just a 2 part silicone mold mix, same stuff that is used for resin molds. If you search “making silicone resin molds” you’ll find some videos about the type of silicone used.
I left the nails out because it would definitely make the process more difficult. I’m going to heat the end of the nail and make holes that way, I haven’t done it yet because I’ve seen some issues with this freshie in particular because of the height and weight of the wings if you put the hole through the heart it leans forward or backward so I’m going to make sure I get the holes in the right place, there will definitely need to be one in each wing.
