We import these soldering kits from Germany and sell them to contractors, many of whom use them to solder copper flashings or copper roofing. What's nice about portable kits is that you don't have any hoses or wires connecting them to power sources. The gas canister in the handle provides the fuel. The canisters last about a hour each. The solder iron heats up in about 90 seconds. If you're soldering a chimney apron or repairing a solder joint, this portable kit is really nice. You can even put the soldering iron in a pouch in your tool belt to carry it up a ladder. These can be bought at SolderWarehouse.com or SlateRoofWarehouse.com. There is a hazardous material fee levied on these kits because the gas canisters ship in the tool box with the soldering iron.
