For my mother's birthday, she wanted me to bring home some blue crabs, which are her favorite thing in the world. She directed me to one place in particular, because they were running a special. I asked them if they had blue crabs cooked. No, it would take an hour to cook, but they have some pre-cooked. I would have to call my mother to ask her what to do, she told me to just get the pre-cooked #1s, so I got back in line. When I came up again, I asked if they had #1s. Nope. Only #2s and females. So I called my mother again. She told me to get the #2s. When I came up yet again, I asked for the #2s cooked, just to take advantage of the special. When I saw the price was about $20 different from the posted special, I asked about it. And then the person at the register said "Oh, that's just for the females." The posted "Cooked crabs for $XX" special posted said NOTHING about this. (For people who don't know about blue crabs: Female crabs have a bunch of inedible parts that make cleaning them a bit trickier than males. And #1s are fairly large, while #2s not so much) Frustrated, I simply stomped off and went home without crabs. I felt bad that my mother couldn't get the crabs she wanted on her birthday, but this place did not make it easy, and weren't entirely truthful about their pricing. Now my mother just cooks the crabs herself.

That one with the mother putting everything in boxes is also an example of when “If you don’t like it, get out!” goes wrong. Also, with that last story, it’s messed up when people lose their friends because of a terrible partner making them cut off contact with those close to them. I bet that wife is going to leave him for someone else someday and then he’ll be without a wife & without his friends.

It’s when a mother/father views their child’s new spouse as a replacement for them or when a parent dumps and places the responsibility of raising them emotionally(as in a mom using their daughter to trauma dump/gaslight/manipulate bc they can’t handle taking care of their and their child’s emotions) on their child. I worked at a dispensary and I would always see the owner arguing with a guy in a suit, one day the guy comes inside and says to everyone inside that we all have 30 mins to conclude our business because this spot was about to get hot real quick. I was out of there in 5 fast forward 25 mins and there were police everywhere the owner wasn't just selling weed out of there.

(Character break) That last story is very similar to a good friend of mine basically having to cut me off because of a relationship with another guy who doesn't want her talking to other men. I warned her about it, but she didn't listen to me. It made me realize that she didn't do anything to me personally, but I still don't know if I want to be her friend anymore if I can't anyway. Also, I have my own story about this. After I helped my dad build a gazebo for a family friend and we got into the car to go home, we picked up my mom, who started giving him a tough time for some arbitrary reason. It got to the point where my dad slammed on the brakes of the car. I have never in my life heard him scream with such anger before, and I hope I never do again. It got so bad that I had to leave the house for a couple hours, and I wandered into the woods to get away from other people. Thankfully, everything was resolved by the end of the day, and I was able to return home. This was only a couple weeks ago at the time I'm writing this, and nothing like this has happened since, thankfully.

Nope. And that breakup was every bit as ugly as you could imagine.

Main Dude pulls up in a Hawaiian shirt claiming he just got back from another vacation since this scheme sold cruises (note we were promised a lobster dinner, I guess they just forgot lmfao). At this point I had hitched a rid with a friend 2+ hr to this meeting. So we are all sitting and waiting, guy gets the power point up he says "this is not a pyramid scheme, you will make real money" his next slide is of a pyramid with how everyone is structured.... brah

Great sermon but at the end they would play music and invite newcomers to go in the back with what really were their “recruiters”. I thought it was weird and wasn’t ready to commit, so didn’t go. The third time the Paster had the pianist play for far longer than usual, so that everyone was looking around to see what stranger hadn’t gone up front, him finally glancing at me and saying “you know who you are”. Yeah, nope. Freaked me out. Never went back.
