Friday the 13th (1980): Every filming location| Camp Crystal Lake Tour 

Brought a tear to my eye at the end. I was nine when I saw it at the drive-in theater with mom, dad, and big sister in ‘80. Miss those days...😞

The Camp looks almost the same as it did when it was filmed in 1979.

Great video! I was 10 years old when the movie came out and I still enjoy it to this day. That is awesome that you got to take pictures with the original cast they all look great. I was surprised to see that the lake isn’t as big as I thought it would be.

Watching people tour this place is so much fun. The main reason for me saying that is because this is camp Nobe Bo Sco I've gone there 6 years with the boy scouts. I have spent almost 2 months of my life here. I'm sad I was not able to go this year this would have been my last year but I have so many good memories here. I shot my first gun, eaten the food which is honestly better than home cooking sometimes. I remember being in the barn building durring a realy intense thunderstorm. It was so bad they had to relocate us into that building when there was a brake they sent us into the mess hall. Good times. This place has had one of the most positive impacts on my life.

I love this! It’s the first time I have ever seen a Friday 13th location video showing the inside of the camp, I would fly over from the U.K and pay what ever the tickets cost just to have a look around that camp.

This was SOOOO stinkin' cool!! I literally just watched the film again minutes ago for the zillionth time and I am now searching filming locations for the zillionth time. I didn't know they allowed this kind of access. I have seen other videos where guys have snuck around and done videos, but nothing like this with co-stars and things like that. THANK YOU!!!

I was there before they started charging people to go on tours. I remember drving into the camp, going to the office and asking if I could look around. They said sure, take your time!

Lou Reed lived directly across the street, his Girlfriend's place. I was up there drinking beers with him and we hiked around the camp in the off season. He tore up them back roads in Blairstown on his Motorcycle,always laughed about living next to Camp Crystal Lake. He said the Movie sucked, of course he said he was the best guitar player too. They split up, he moved back to the city. He shoulda stayed. Lou told me he caught a couple of big bass in the Lake one night

Sorry to nitpick but it was Brenda , not Marcy who saw something.She was in the water when she stared at the trees and someone asked if she saw something. Btw,the actress who played Brenda is deceased.Looks like the original monopoly game from the movie.As I recall the cover was red which I thought was odd. I wonder if the game belonged to the camp.

Was the camp called No-Be-Bo-Sco at the time that the movie was filmed? What is the lake called? Good presentation, by the way. You're the first I know who has found the archery range. Interesting to see how little the camp has changed. The original Friday the 13th was the best film. That we don't see the killer for much of the film, only the limbs and the killer's perspective, has haunted me for a long time. As did the eerie score. We have no idea why these camp counselors are being killed, until the end of course. That element of mystery, the score, plus the gory kills, which were considered shocking for the time, succeed in a way that the sequels don't. Crazy Ralph was a nice touch in relation to the curse enveloping the camp. Though often criticized as mindless and filled with gratuitous violence, the film has layers. Jason's death may symbolize the death of innocence, or forgetfulness of what may be best in us. Meanwhile, the negligent, lustful camp counselors, by following their lust, are sowing the seeds of their destruction. The forest clearly represents the psyche. There can be a lot of discussion as to whether lust necessarily leads to one's destruction; it's debatable. Yet the interpretation is a viable one, with Christian undertones. That the camp counselors get killed many years after Jason's death has something faintly biblical about it, like Adam's descendants having to die because of his sin. Jason jumping out of the water, deformed, hideous (in the girl's dream) may be like something originally beautiful that one neglects: it turns ugly, deformed , even violent THROUGH THE NEGLECT. Here's an example: you knew a beautiful woman once - but due to some character flaw, you failed to act. You missed your opportunity with her. So the regret surrounding her makes the whole situation ugly. It may drag you under, as Jason pulls the girl under. A little farfetched, but hopefully you get the point. Anyway, the film is far from great, yet it's not altogether mindless horror. The sequels? Compared with the original, they strike me as hollow - and mindless. The whole part about Jason cleverly stalking and killing his victims, but somehow never managing to reconnect with his mother all those years never made sense to me. Take Friday the 13th part 2, for example. He was resourceful enough to find the girl who survived in the original film, but not resourceful enough to find his mother. Sorry. Don't buy it.

Lol I think this was the first horror movie I saw as a kid. I remember me and my sister were betting whether the killer was a female or a male...I kept saying it was a male, because of the finger nail we could see every now and then, my sis kept saying it was a woman. No need to say, she won the bet. That was back in the 80's...guess I was 9 back then.

Hello mike. We've spoke in the past about part 2 location. I was able to go there in november. Found some awesome spots. Spoke to lloyd albin. I will be going there again this year if you want to meet up then. I have good information on "Jason's shack " location. As well I just locked in doing the same trip you did to camp nobebosco in may.
