I ‘ve own the Little Sister for over 2 years. It literally sounds as good as it does in this video, maybe a little better. This is the best amp I’ve ever heard in my life! The fact that UK made Marshall’s are comparably priced makes me laugh. This Friedman blows them out of the water. Not even close.
I don’t see this amp as a one trick pony at all, unless you paint your sonic pictures with primary colors only. This is built for shadings from the pre and power amp, and a smorgasbord of musical possibilities from the use of boost, drive, and compression. (Forgot to ask if there is an effects loop)
As a Fender guy for over 20 years who now owns this amp. I’m telling you, this is the best amp you can buy. The Friedman Little Sister may seem pricey up front, but as soon as you plug your guitar in, you’ll instantly understand why you bought it. I’ve also played plenty of Marshall’s and always felt they lacked warmth and had a harsh top-end. The Little Sister gives you the warmth of a Fender with all the gnarly attitude of a Marshall all while maintaining sweet well-mannered highs that have plenty of bite but none of the harshness. Buy it and know that you’ll have a better tone than 95% of guitarist out there! I’m not kidding!
Spectacular demo... Best on YT, IMO. Your playing is SO tasteful, and you didn't max-out the gain. For what it's worth, I tried adding a HotMod EVO V2 onto mine, and it took that crunch you dialed in really well, and launched it into a spectacular super tight, percussive almost hot-rodded plexi territory. That glorious little device takes any Marshall-esq circuit and turns into sonic bliss for an uber-crunch tone, which is the only tone this amp doesn't do real well. But, it did it without losing any of the warmth you get when you pull the gain back, and clean things up (which is the best part of the amp, IMO). You demonstrated that part of this amp, incredibly well. VERY Well done. Just wanted to share my experience with that HotMod. I wasn't all that impressed with the first version of it, then the V2 game out, and I was astonished. Thanks for sharing, Alberto! Your playing is beautiful.
Como mola!! Mr. Barrero: el metalero!! que intro más guapa!! petición: nos puedes hacer una compilación de tus intros para oirlas en un solo clip o hacer una playlist. 🙏🙌🙌🙏🤌🤌🤟🧡🤟
I just subscribed, anyone who uses real cabs & mics gets my vote great demo as well have been looking at this or a PT V2, this nails it for me if I want higher gain tones will use a pedal.
Very nice playing and tone. Yet there is a distinct high register employed throughout the demo even when the treble knob is lower than halfway. The gain structure is more than enough but overall it does not have the iconic signature of a Marshall.
