Still probably the best option as a top jet premium for Russia. The Su-7 is fast +has full ballistic computer, but has no countermeasures and its bomb-load isn't good enough to destroy a base, and its best weapon for ground RB are the S-24s. The MiG-21S is very similar in a "fighter" classification, just instead of bombs it gets some bad AAMs, still gets the S-24s with CCIP for CAS tough.

I love this thing quite a bit, and not because it’s any good. I have managed slightly over a 3.0 k/d which I think is alright I guess for a vehicle like this. Most of my kills aren’t even missle kills, but having fun with guns. The su-25 would be so much better if they made it so your br changes via load out. Yea that would mean a lot of reworks for how spawning loadouts in air rn worked and having to preselect. But this thing would be, IMO, almost perfectly balanced at 9.0 without missles. It can’t turnfight or outrun any opponents there but the capability of its firepower as well as energy trapping low skill players makes it alright. I’ve had a great deal of fun in it and mostly because people think it’s scarier than it is and trying to disengage and getting a lucky kill when they run.

I don't know. I only bring r-60s. The plane doesn't seem that bad. The gun absolutely desinigrates whatever it hits. I've had decent games in it at least but that was also 5 hours after patch.

The charm of an SU25K is that it's at least better than SU-7 in ground RB to pair with the premium T72 and that's pretty much it ngl

This thing requires some skill too though, you have epic engines,AA missiles, cool Air-Ground weopons but you can't just rush you need some skill too like when you play on grb you gotta equip weopons that suits you the best and learn how to use them.

My aim-9b (or Robot 24 if you wanna be exact) just straight up ignored the flares and went for a SU-25 today. It made me very happy but I was very surprised.

Not that I want to ruin the fun or see the Su-25 at 9.3, but seeing it easily rip its wings at full thrust and pulling 10-11G long turns at 850+ kph... it has to be overperforming quite a bit compared to real life, doesn't it?

something is really messed up with the RP... 5 kills 13k RP only. In the past it was waaaaay more. No wonder grinding top tier takes forever nowadays

0:19 its not the best ground striker but it does help fill the attack jet hole in the russian tree at higher tiers, still doesnt compare to the quality and quantity of strike jets us has at higher tiers lol

Hey defyn please read this comment. As we all know Air RB at top tier right now is a piece of shit, you either have small maps with matches that last 2 min only or large empty EC maps with just 1 AF and you keep flying with nothing around to do. My suggestion is that gaijin should make a PVE mode for Air RB players, it could be similar to the existente helicopter PvE we would have multiples objectives to do like enemy aircrafts, bases, ground units and etc... This would be a great opportunity to use the multirole aircrafts like the A-10,SU-25 recently added since in Air RB you mainly will use Air to Air missiles and bomb runs are almost always suicide, those planes that have more focus on ground attack are useless I think it would be a great addition for Air players that like me are tired of the current state of Air RB at top tier, let me know what you guys think of it.

"not a good grinder" wdm i made sooooo much money and xp with it i get 10-20k xp per game and all i do is bomb 2 bases and get 1 or 2 kills or kill tanks in RB

imo this plane is great, tho the R-60MK´s absolute dogshit, I mainly fly this in sim and 9/10 missiles I shoot miss, even without flaring. And I am not doing any fancy pants launches which Magics can and R-60MK should be able to do, idk what it is, it just loses the lock sometimes even when target is flying practically straight.

If you're going to take rockets for pillboxes, you should just take S-13Os. they one shot light ones and you get 5 shots instead of 2

I would still use the rook to grind rank 7. MiG 19pt even though I Love it so much is Not very enjoyable in current match making. With su 25 you can flare missiles. problem with surviving F5C, j35a, And other supersonics i'll leave it to skill And luck

Although Defyn spits facts and proves a point your team will still try to head on it or die while attempting a bomb run and you will be alone after like 7-8 minutes of match against 6-7 Su-25 and occasional MiG-21

They did kinda buff IR missiles in this update to make them all track better x_x
