The thought of nurses being only responsible of washing someone's behind is way out of context. My mom and sister are nurses. When we were all having dinner as a family, they would exchange ideas of their best practices of that particular day and none of it was about cleaning patients or dressing infected wounds etc. They will be talking in medical jargons that was beyond my comprehension, and I think they're awesome! Mindsets should change. Perspective should change. Nurses are not only mere care givers. They are medical professionals too.

He is doing his best and changing his life. That is what I call success. His parents should be proud instead they kick him out of the house and not supporting him and letting him be a student and focus on studying. He’s doing a wonderful job! Being a registered nurse is not an easy job and like the lady said, it’s a noble job. It’s not for everyone. Good for him! I am very proud of him!

As a former ITE student and fellow nurse,I am proud of him wanting a better future for himself. No doubt our schooling hours can be tiresome at times.

By now, I do believe that Azy is definitely one of the frontliners, one of unsung heroes in this midst of the pandemic. If families and friends don't realise this, I don't know what would. What an amazing story..

I for one marvel and respect female and male nurses. They to me r national heroes bsides soldiers. Nursing is a verry difficult course and it requires a lot of emotional strength of different levels. Having to face patients of all sorts and attending to their needs and d drs'. To Azys mother.....u r such a lucky mother to hv been blessed with a son who perservered the odds and to overcome difficult hurdles to jump over. Having faced bullies and joined d gangster group to get protected and coming to realise of what his future wld b like and to take up nursing.......all these r difficult obstacles 4 one to wade thru keeping his head abv water to b able to reach the other side safely. All i can say is.......washing buttocks of those who r physically helpless is d most noble thing to do. Tattoos aren't even a issue here in Australia. Nurses, teachers, police sport visible tattoos and aren't discriminated against. It's the quality of work you produce, not how you look like that gets judged. Good on him for improving his life! Children make mistakes that impact their adult lives, and I'm glad he's made an effort to turn his life around. Wishing you an excellent nursing career.

my son is the same thing but he was not on gangs he was a dropped off ... and then one day he told me i want to take the GED mom and i said ok go ahead. He passed the GED and went straight to school for Surgical Technology. Now he is working in a hospital and wanted to take surgical nurse ... i’m so proud of my son. he is going to be a father soon :)

Realising your dream after NS, it’s amazing of the hurdles you have to go through such as being tired in class and working until 10pm for Uber Eats and studying late at night for a paper.
