Looking good bro. Keep it going and keep the upgrades coming. I'm working on a '96 Silverado 1 ton dually. Just had the engine rebuilt. Waiting on euro lights to come from CarID.
Yo g! You should do a front bumper removal! Im gonna be replacing my front grill and headlights like you did i want to get rid of this rusty ol chrome bumper too
Looks awesome bro, love the new grille and the headlights look like the twin 88-89 ones which were the best looking. I was thinking of getting one of those steering wheels but in black, does it have the same offset/backspacing as the factory wheel? Love your truck bro
Hey man just a quick question. I bought a grille from Summit Racing and when i was installing it, the holes on it for the corner signal lights and reflectors were too far apart. Did they give me a wrong year grille? Mine is a 93. Appreciate it. Badass truck too!
NEVER use auto car washes. They have acid wheel cleaner that will kill your clear coat. I wish you could come to our car show this October in Iowa but your probably down in California. The best part about the 90's Silverado/Sierra CK1500 series is that it's all bolt on. Highly unsafe but super simple. And your "Nut Things" are actually called "Speed Nuts" AKA "Self Clearing Nuts". Whatever you do, don't over tighten your parking lights. They're renown for snapping the side plastic off.
When I put mine in...I didn't notice that at the bottom of the headlights there's a sticker that cover a hole. You have to remove the sticker so that when it rains..the water will run out of the hole. They don't tell you that in the directions.
I did not know that the parking lights have those little rubber inserts on the side for the screws to go into and that the screws go in at an angle since they do not lineup 100% therefore I accidentally over tighten one and cracked one of the parking lights right where the screw bolts down on one of the corners
Love your truck bro, I'm going to start doing videos on mine once I start working on it maybe youll give me a follow. I've got a tip for the corner lights that I'll make a video of. I love the corner lights with clear lens and black housings I've been having on my truck for a few years now but right when I put them on I didnt like the edge all the way around with the clear plastic it just looked cheap but if you pull the corner lights off and mask off the entire front of the lens with tape and the hole and take gloss black Rust-Oleum spray paint and paint the back of the lens edge that is clear so that rocks cant chip the paint its makes that edge gloss black from the front view and looks FUCKIN DOPE bro no more cheap clear plastic look Ive had mine for almost 3 years still looks perfect and you will never look at anyones corner lights the same because you get the gloss black edge with clear lens where the bulb is but it has the back housing so it just looks all together black but nice. 👌
Wow bro...dam well that seems good ..il give a follow fosure..and yea post it when you do it so i can learn how to....and 100% bro about them looking cheap ...dude that was the reason why ive never added them on my obs because they look cheap but this time i was like whatever...but your idea seems to help so after you post a video later on il try it fosure because i dnt like that cheap look ..i want it to look like stock quality not cheap
209StreetDriven thank you so much and I just wanna tell you that your work kinda has sparked a greater interest for me on my 99 Tahoe keep up the good work
Great question. I wanna know too. I'm rebuilding a '96 1 ton. Waiting on euro headlights and turn signals from CarID. Thinking about painting the grill white to match the body.
I did too..I ordered a set of the LED park lights, and they are not direct bolt on. It's like something is missing. You got the wire with the white connect. Then it plugs into what seems like a ballast. But there's nothing to get power to the lights from the truck. 🤦♂️🤷♂️
