I absolutely agree on your opinion that social media, made everything more accessable for everyone. It is indeed a strong tool to share informations, to inform and to find people sharing the same believes with you. As we could see in the history it influenced many social movements and lead them to success. You mentioned in the video 4 Points or it can be seen as a checklist. 1. Invest in the cause It is true, to achieve a social impact and the desired outcome it needs some sort of acitvism. In contrast I also think that social media lowered the motivation for actual pysical participation in social movements. People are satisfied if they like and post for their cause but are not or at least less willing to actually go into the streets to fight for it. In some cases liking and posting will do the work, especially for the last point you mentioned. The consistency. If people share and like post, it will stay longer in the heads of people, becoming a wont and absolutly normal. 2. Find them There is nothing I can add to it. Social media completely changed the communication and the organization for social media. As you said it lad to a vast global connectivity. It became easier to get it touch with people even though you do not know them, to become support for your cause by millions of people and to spread you incentives. 3.Prepare and Populate a Remedy This point is maybe one of the most important. If we desire a impact a change in the world, we have pave the path and actually lead the direction step by step. This is what I am missing in climate change movements. They do not make demands or any solutions that need to be implemented to achieve a change. They do not have to come up with solutions themselve but they need to demand it and stay consistend until they get their wanted outcome. 3. Consitency Something to become a necessity it has to become normality by consitency. Nothing to add. Last point I want to mention is that it is our duty to protect the integrity of social media. Their are still regimes using social media against their people by censoring information, sharing fake news and suppress the nation. This has to change to fully use the strenghts of social media.

I'm a bit baffled in terms of comprehending the idea she's trying to convey. Anyone can sum it up, please? The confusion is raised cause she started to mention the struggles of African-American,then switched to environmental downfalls and then to social media effect. I'm not a native speaker therefore it raised more questions, though no doubts she's a brilliant speaker.
