I'm Jamaican who lives in Sweden, but I have been living in Ph for 6 years, in Negros Occidental Bacolod City it's a nice place to live apart from my birth country, same climate and nice beaches ⛱️ Filipinos are awesome people.
My Swedish husband and I agree that Philippines has something that makes you love or addicted to her, despite it is not the most orderly country. I think its the weather, very social people, resilient people, relax attitude of people and less materialistic mindset of people compared to countries it is compared to. Even the organized chaos, you will end up appreciating it too. Philippines offers high quality of life, and if you are above middle income, then higher standard of living too. Here in Scandinavia, it is high standard of living but low quality of life. We are dying to live there again.
Same here in Australia high standard living, a lot of pressure and stress, in the Philippines despite of so many disaster and hard life still people are able to smile and sharing is always there .but off course if your are foreigner before you moved to other places you have to adjust to everything don't expect them to adjust for you ! 👍😊
Weird. because I am from Philippines and I have been to scandanavia. I feel Scandanavian countries are the most ideal countries when it comes to quality of life and proper society
The perspective of your guest to life and PH is amazing. She loved the PH because it is not perfect. She moved here because she saw something that others can’t see to the PH.
@@kemuelcapagalan7082Exactly what he and she said, but there is something in 🇵🇭 that other countries don’t have. Like any other countries. As they say, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
That goes everywhere in the world. If you have money, you can be living almost anywhere and have a good life so money talks that's an old saying LOL. We are happy for all those rich people who has money live and enjoy because someday, that day will come when that money is not needed anymore so live and enjoy. That what I do in Mexico. When I have said that I Love Mexico, someone said to me that ok, would you Love it if you would have no money and be here...............................................and then I started thinking O NO, THEN MEXICO WOULD BE A LOT DIFFERENT so it is the same with this lady. She has money, that's why her life is good in the Phillipines.
Im a Filipino and I agree to what you are saying. I have lived in other country before and I worked hard always fast paced..Im 34 now and left my job abroad..settled i the Philippines sometimes while having my coffee early in the morning or late in the afternoon I feel happy.thingking i have lived a full life.. slow paced and not materialistic I get to feel evey bits of life here staring at my plants flowers and the trees or even the sky❤
Happy to see foreign people find genuine happiness in my country. After living in Europe for a while, I realized how pleasantly different the Philippines is. Iba pa rin sa PInas!
@@pearloftheorient8336 I guess when one is away from HOME, it would open the eyes for the realities of life. The sense of community in the Philippines is very distinct. Here in Europe, people are willing to help, but are generally individualistic. Kaya mas mabuting pang maging mahirap sa Pinas keysa sa abroad. At least dyan, your neighbors would cheer you up and share whatever they can. Dito, your neighbors won't even know that you are already dead inside your house.
Wow. This is a wake up call to many Filipinos to love Philippines more. Thank you Alex. Foreigners are welcome in the Philippines. God bless bless you both.
@@pinoyRN67 Russians is always very welcome here..but pls don't be offended if we call you British or Americans..because most filipinos thinks that white people were Brits, Aussie and yankees.
I really admire the intelligence and mind set of this beautiful Swedish (Filipino heart lady) 🌹💕. Thanks for sharing your point of views in life especially your life here in Philippines. There's is no a perfect a country but there is a very satisfying and comfortable, peaceful country for each of us. I'm a Filipino and I love my simple yet satisfying life here in Negros Occidental Philippines. God bless and keepsafe. For this content---I subscribed.
This is nice example to all Foreigners.. want at peace living. Philippines has a lot more to offer. That’s why I am planing to go home my Ph homeland . Living in Europe was really terrible..especially when you live alone here. Plans to go home soon 🇵🇭
Hello, I'm Michelle. I'm watching your video 📸. I'm intrigued! My granddaughter is half Swedish, she is half Swedish, one fourth American and one fourth Filipino. I'm glad u got adjusted to Filipino lifestyle!
Hello from Sweden 👋🇸🇪, we've been many times in Dauin, a PEACEFUL Village to live while You're actually living with good standard of folks, so we could definitely find piece of area to live there quite soon hopefully 🇵🇭
This is a very informative video. It's nice to see how foreign people have come to adapt and embrace the culture, environment, country and people. Hats off to her that her home is beautiful. I guess the Swedish aesthetic comes out through how she designed her home.
I like her. She has a good mindset and admirable for adjusting to the way of life here. That's how it should be, when you want to live in a new a country you have to adapt to their culture and not complain all the time. It's always good to have friends it will be easier to live and enjoy your stay here.
I'm glad you are enjoying your stay here in the PH. Don't be too complacent with anyone, even we locals, we are always critical about our own people, there's always a snake in the grass that's ready to prey on their next victim out there. Be observant of your surrounding and the people around you specially strangers.
This sweet lady is an asset to the area...💃 Land owners can find a foreign developer like this... and next to it carve areas for future development and get high value for the land. And purchase more lands nearby as investment. Then draw potential homes and sell it to prospective buyers. Things can feed off a good start and keep moving...👍👍👍👍👍 ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Men!!!! I can live all my life in that surrounding!!! That beautiful house and wide garden and men! All those trees around there its already paradise for us!! Watchin you from tx usa.
Nice place to visit. Before the Philippines I dreamed to move to US. But when I spoke with so many Americans here in person I don't want to move there anymore. Maybe only visit for vacation someday

Just to make sure foreigners do not misunderstand. Under Philippine Laws only Filipinos and the Filipino spouses of Foreigners are allowed to own land. This is to ensure that our land do not become too expensive for us Filipinos due to the higher purchasing power of most foreign money. As an alternative, foreigners should have a good licensed real estate broker draw them up a long term lease for the land from 50 to 99 years. That is allowed under our constitution.
@@Top5_Pilipinas The video said 50yrs lease is not allowed under our constitution, u need to be a corporation to get in for 50yrs lease. If u are individual being u can only lease up to 25yrs only and it depends it has a extension.
She came from one of the rich country in europe then she moved to ph it will surely changed her perspective in life there are a lot of challenges and poverty in ph she will surely learn to appreciate more with the small things she have and have a compassion to other people as a filipinos i would like to thank her for loving this country despite of imperfections and adopting the culture the philippines will love you love stay safe and godbless 💙🙏
She moved to the Philippines because of the nature and Beaches and weather and peaceful country and people etc. There are so many Sweden living in the Philippines.
Almost every country has their share of poverty. No country is perfect. But the beauty of the Philippines and the heart and soul a of the prople are the greatest assets.
Wonderful heart ...wonderful life ... Lovely soul... Loving lady creature 💖💝💖💖Thank you for choosing our country to be living with the fullness of Life satisfaction.
Wow this lady had left her country Sweden and chose to live in our humble country Philippines. She knows already the right procedure how to build a house here. In Siargao there are some Swedish living there and a couple named Johann and Emy ( i hope i said the name right) has also a property in Siargao where they are also cultivating. Idol u have nice interview. Super!!
Great video! Great interview. She has a real slice of paradise. She was nice to share so much information. She has great design taste. Did she work as an architect? She created different garden 'rooms' and nice big porches as people spend most time outside. And I love that she has included the outside garden as part of the inside with the big open windows and glass doors. It makes her house look even bigger. She must have worked in the arts, did she say something to do with photography. It is like a 5 star hotel, so relaxing. And it is not bad, for the money she spent, as in any other country it would be over million dollars. Her great design makes it look a lot more expensive. She can still put solar panels, some people put them on the ground and she can conceal them with plantings of flowering bushes. She can start with a few panels and then slowly add to it. India is building a big plant to produce solar panels so they should get cheaper. And even a water tank or two would not be too much of a problem, she can put it in the back of her property on a separate structure. Best wishes to her.
She's Scandinavian, good design is in her blood! We sometimes take for granted about the level of comfort + design aesthetic we have in Scandinavia, then we travel even within Europe and we see the stark difference. Even "cheap" stores like Nille in Norway does better styling than super rich SM. See for yourself. The Philippines' many airports are a testament to Filipinos lack of design aesthetic.
It takes deep courage to leave everything behind: family, friends, culture and familiarity to move halfway around the world to start anew and live a life you want for yourself, not something that society wants for you. You toiled so hard but still is not able to measure up to your society's standards. Moving gain new perspectives in life and see the world in a different light. Thank you Alex for some thoughtful interview conversations. Very informative. More of like this is welcomed.
Thanks for liking our country and loving our ways! Yes, dig a well or have a water pump, also add a water reservoir to catch rain. A dirty kitchen where firewood or charcoal can be used is also good. Yes, solar panels are best. Maybe have a vegetable garden or a few chicken for eggs. Self sufficiency is now everyone's goal. Great video, thank you!
I heard [eople from Sweden are verry smart people and their mostly neutral and beautiful people and i see the pictures in the movies the smow and mountain look's majestic and also heard they built the best woorshipped and one day i would like to visit the country for oil painting or even just for a sketch drawing God bless and keep it art
Welcome to the Philippines. Hope you find our country a better place for you to stay or live. Filipinos are nice, accommodating, religious and hospitable people.
Wow, I really liked how the backyard was landscaped. She has a nice variety of bushes, trees and flowers. It must be difficult not to be able to own a home if not Filipino and having to trust a local to own it and lease it back. I remember in your video with Justin him talking about access rights to your land and the difficulties you can encounter.
More and more Westerners are moving to or retiring in Southeast Asia as they realize that it has the warm weather, paradise settings, beaches, islands, outdoor activities, amazing streetfood, shopping, and many other Westerners there all the time. Plus their money goes much further and it is very safe there. The locals are also very friendly.
Thank you for helping our fellow Filipinos. Watching from Japan. Roosters are our natural alarm clock. 😃 What a beautiful woman's perspective in life and her house seems so relax. I like it.
Simple life.Lots of foreigners like to live in the Philippines. Nice to know a Swedish living in our country.I saw a vlog of another Swedish couple living in Siargao. I haven’t seen any more vlogs after that.Living in the Philippines for 6 years is amazing.
Im from the philippines and living in sweden for almost 27 yrs now, few days ago i had to visit a doctor because my blood pressure had been very high these past few weeks and that made me really worried about my health. the doctor told me that i needed to completely change my whole lifestyle. and it left me wondering how could i ever do that since having a stressful job is the lifeline of most people living here including me. so you could just imagine the envy i feel right now after watching this video.
i think ikea in manila is a swedish owned business. it is the biggest ikea store in the world selling furniture and other home essentials. it is nice to see swedish presence in the philippines. welcome sweden and mabuhay !
I hope you could do more videos like this with more time on touring the properties with the owners so they explain more about why they designed their properties the way it is. Just a suggestion. And maybe others may not like it. Do what you like to do. Your English is become more fluent! Well done! I wish I could pick up a second language like that so fast. I have a hard time trying to learn one. It is great that you are making lots of friends.
Thank you, Dan, for your support and kind words. I will definitely make more videos like this in the future. And of course I will continue to study English
First time watching on your channel. Thank very much sir. for featuring different nationality living in my beloved country Philippines God Bless you. Your new Subscriber
