From the Sea to the Source - Walking The River Thames

In 2015, I walked the length of the River Thames, beginning at Southend-on-Sea, where the river meets the North Sea, along its 215 mile route until I reached the source in Gloucestershire.
Along the way I took photos which I compiled here in to a video accompanied by a song (called 'Beautiful World') which I wrote and recorded using a clip on tie microphone.

It is a beautiful world and you'll showed quite a few parts of it. I only wish I were savy enought to watch it at about 1/3 speed so I could have enjoyed it more. Really enjoyed your walking tour with Nickola so I've come over here to watch all you've got and learn more about the UK. Looking forward to the adventure.

I really enjoyed watching that,,,,Ive often wondered where it started from, ,,and finally googled it just b4 which then led me to your video. How long did it take you to walk the full length of it? Where did you sleep of a night? In hotels or a tent? Really us lovely in some places. I would love to see it but I can't walk. Wish I was fit and young and healthy again. 😩

Well done - I did the same in the other direction . Its a shame that the official path starts/finishes so early - Like you we had to do the whole thing...

Thanks. Yes, although navigating through the Essex estuary is quite 'interesting'. Pretty sure I didn't take the best route, but kind of made it up as I went along.
