Bhai hamare playaro ki tarah nhi h jb tk dhakke marke na nikalo jaane ka naam hi nhi lete yeh legend h yeh new comer's ko chance dete h unki age or unke talent ko nhi khaate h
they may have looked their best but we dont know what they looked like after a test match, how much rehab they may have been doing behind the scenes etc. im glad gilly went on to play ipl for 5 years
Looking at the thumbnail I thought he had hit a century in his last innings 😊.. nevertheless 9500runs anybody could have gone for 10k but he wasn't a selfish one ..true gentleman
Gilly was such an impact player for Australia in Tests and ODIs. I mean other teams had a keeper who could bat a bit but Gilly could walk into the team purely as a batsman too. Imagine dismissing Hayden, Langer, Ponting, Martyn, Lehmann, Clarke, and then see Gilly walking to bat.
Utterly demoralising for the opposition let me tell you that! Exhausting day for the bowlers and fielders just working over the top and middle order. Then to see Gilly and Warne (top scorer in tests without making 100) knock you around...well is it any wonder they were one of the greatest test cricket teams of all time?
@@kwl189We eventually got to the point where we didn't really have a tail end at all. Warne was actually good, Gillespie was a talented slogger or an immovable wall depending on what the team needed, and even Glenn McGrath worked hard on his batting and stopped being terrible. And let's not forget, Gillespie has a Test double-century and Warne has a 99. That team was very stacked.
@Sushovan Shakya almost every indian have a misconception about him. Many a times he appealed wrong when there was no of a edge. And he also used to sledge which we think he doesn't used to be. We think like he was very sweet, not a typical Australian but u guys were wrong and till now you are wrong. Yea he's a legend but we shouldn't see every thing with a naked eyes. Maybe u weren't born then when he played rest of his life. Change your perception, he was like rest of his buddies, no difference
Once in a lifetime player. Every run that he has scored has scarred the opposition's bowling. Small wonder that his test career & the Australian purple patch coincide for the most part.
Truly irreplaceable. Keepers that change the game like Gilly and recently retired Dhoni, are rarer than blue moons. Irreplaceable and quite simply unique!
The man who redefined the role of a wicket keeper. Before Gilly, Wicket keepers were just average batsmen who could keep wickets or average WKs who can bat well. This man took it to the next level... A great WK who can win matches with the Bat as well as with Wicket keeping.
The only Australian cricketer whom I liked. He use to walk away b4 umpire gave him out. And one of the most destructive openers. Thnks for all the memories gilly
@@ghkumar0567 just because you don't have a channel u don't know how hard it is to get views and subs on RU-vid... Instead of sleeping and doing no work at home whole day, go and make some videos and see how it feels when u spend hours in editing and don't get views.. So do some work before u speak
@@karthikprashanth1997 Gilchrist is the only player with 50+ scores in three consecutive WC finals. He played 3 WCs and had fifties in all of the finals. He also has the highest WC final score-a 149 of mere 104 balls. Moreover, this hundred was also the fastest in a WC final, coming out in just 72 balls. So, forget about Ponting and Mcgrath,Ponting had just one special final performance(in 2003),and Mcgrath had none.
I still remember that I cried a lot on the day of Sangakkara and Gilchrist's farewell match. Sangakkara and Gilchrist have always been my favorite players ❤️❤️ Love from Bangladesh 🇧🇩❤️
He is one of the 90's legends... What an era??? What a players?? Feels like I'm fortunate to witness their mighty skill and sportsmanship. From every cricketing team they produced great cricketers. Superb contest between batsman and bowler. We all miss u 90's legends. We love u and cherish your memories for ever.😍🥰
What a sensational, natural stroke player he was in his era...used to get up early in the morning to watch the live broadcast featuring from the lush green outfields from Australia..
He didn't played for himself... Only played for team nd as a result Aussies won World cup's ... ..So they don't care about fking these club's 🔥🔥 he is better than tendulkar dhoni 👌👌
Gilly is the only batsman to score consecutive 50's in consecutive 3 world cup Final match. Many of the players got nervous in most important match. Then there is Gilly ❤️ .. i supported Deccan chargers for frst 3 yrs . Then Punjab now. Only for Gilly ❤️
This is how you say goodbye. Thanks Gilly for entertaining us and threatening us (opponents) as a destroying opening batsman. Cricket would have less entertaining without fearsome openers like - Saeed Anwar, Sanath Jayasuriya, Adam Gilchrist, Virender Sehwag, Brandon Macculam, Chris Gayle. Respect from India 🙏
A rare batsman in the world of cricket who could swing his bat like a sword at any end of the field 🔥🔥 Ever since I understood cricket, Sangakkara and Gilchrist have been my favorite players in my life ❤️❤️ Love from Bangladesh 🇧🇩❤️
He was smashing Malinga's 145+ deliveries so flawlessly. What a legend!! Cricket will never have a 2nd Gilchrist. Not saying this only based on his batting or WK. He is a wonderful human being too. Always brought a lot of excitement and energy on the field.
@@andrewsymonds1744 kumar was a great batsman and good wktkeeper. There have been great keepers but avg batsman but gilly was the one who defined a great batsman and great wktkeeper.
@@andrewsymonds1744 look at wicketkeeping stats of Kumar vs gilly, if you say Kumar was great than what do you call gilly. total wicket for gilly is over 900 and sanga is about 650. Sanga is better betsman between these two though.
Hats off to the Srilankan team for their respect to such a legend, the cricketing world have ever been produced. A diehard Gilly fan from Kerala, India ❤️❤️❤️
It's wow to see that how a good player's farewell match to Adam Gilchrist, thanks the Australian cricket board.... all we saw how's India cricket board retiring his match winners..
Once Dhoni said In interview when he was young in wicketkeeping gilchrist was his role model ..now in cricket world majority of young cricketers role model is Dhoni ...
