Pakistan allrounder Abdul Razzaq pulls off a rare feat of hitting five consecutive boundaries off Australia pace ace Glenn McGrath in an one-day at the SCG in 2000
@@dharmsingh8055 Saeed Anwar was a good batsman, I completely agree, but when it came to fielding, I never saw him fielding, he was a lazy sportsman, just wanted to bat and do nothing else.
I really appreciate Cricket Australia for posting such quality stuff even when it has happened against their own team... Shows their class... Unlike some other boards who post only stuff that is favourable to their teams...
Like he said. England and Wales nearly always upload their triumphs in old series whenever they get whooped in the current era. The only exception is whenever a series is coming up, such as Eng v Pak this year, and they show the oppositions' players' triumphs. By the way, BCCI also do this via StarSportsIndia
I was there when this happened. Australian crowds were so used to seeing McGrath being 2 wickets for less than 10 runs after his first 6 overs in ODI's, that to see 5 fours in a row off this phenomenon McGrath was just so unheard of, the crowd was just in shock and confusion. It was unforgettable. But Abdul Razzaq was always entertaining and loved by the Australian crowds, he was such a talented, entertaining player either with bat or ball.
@@ashasrumman4935 At a time of genuine cricket, it was like a IPL onslaught which was rare. This particular over was anything but genuine cricket. It was more like a T20 over.
Hitting 5 fours in a row in McGrath's over is extraordinary guts and talent. McGrath would never have forgotten that day in his life. Shout from India.
Abdul Razzak was always a Giant Killer. He smashed some of the best bowlers in that era, and used to take wickets of best batsmen. I was a kid back then and i hated him. Especially when he used to take wicket of Sachin Tendulkar. And now, with all of my wisdom, admire him. One of the finest all-rounders cricket has ever seen.
I didn’t watched this match live on TV coz we didn’t hav tv that time. We read this on newspaper that Abdul Razzaq hits 5 consecutive 4s to Legend Glen McGrath. We were like- What seriously. How could in this world can anyone hit McGrath like this. Those days were hattrick boundaries really matters. Cricket has changed, Fans has changed . Missing those golden days. Love and respect from INDIA 🇮🇳
Inzi was the reason Abdul razzaq was only hitting fours to score 😂. He was helpless and knew that inzimam in any case would not be able to score runs between the stumps 😂😂😂.
Pakistan used to play an attractive brand of cricket in 90s..A very high quality bowling attack, class batsmen like Inzi, Anwar, Youhana..Allrounders like Afridi, Razak, Azhar Mahmood, Wasim Akram..
@@zafarmuhammad2693 he doesnt have one but if he got 1 gem for writing "underrated" comments, im sure he would beat elon musk.😂 dont forget about his gold business too😂.
If Abdul Razzaq, Azhar mahmood, Wasim Akram and Shahid Afridi were playing now they would have been the most sought after T20 players. Also Aussie cricket please bring back VB series. This tournament was the best organised and most competitive series. And the crowd and commentary made it absolutely special.
We Indians love❤ 90s and bit of 2000s Pakistani cricketers. What a players on those days- Classic openers, majestic middle orders, true allrounders ( finishers) and dangerous fast bowlers.
They still produce amazing bowlers... But those drop catches( especially at crucial moments), runouts from mix up, leak 50+ extras and batting is always messy...
@gaurav singh bilkul sahi kaha ,os ne sirf cricket khel k enjoye ki hai ,na ose publicity or fame ki bhokh thi,or na wo team mein politics karta tha ,true legend
Abdul Razzak came into the side as a bowler, but he developed himself as a good batsman. He always batted well on bouncy tracks against good quality bowlers. He was a silent kid in Pakistan's team, he never fought with anyone, he was always well behaved. He wasn't an educated guy, but his behaviour was much better & decent than many educated cricketers... His bowling was good as he had off cutters, legcutters, inswing, outswing as his strength and he was a genuine alrounder. If he was born in a country like England, then he would have got recognition better than Ian Botham.... Pakistan team needs more players like: Mudassar, Abdul Qadir, Javed Miandad, Imran khan, Wasim Akram, Waqar Younis, Aquib Javed, Salim Malik, Saeed Anwar, Moin Khan, Mushtaq Ahmed, Amir Sohail, Inzamam Ul Haq, Saqlain Mushtaq, Yousuf Youhana, Abdul Razzak, Azhar Mahmood, Shahid Afridi, Shoaib Akthar etc........ Shoaib Akthar was really treated badly by the Pakistan Cricket Board officials.... What a talent he was...!!
@@shahrookkhan7331 thanks bud. I'm not Pakistani, but I loved this guy. Love his sincerity and massive blows lower down, done that for Pak more times than others.
Hats off to Cricket Australia RU-vid channel, lot of videos of their opponents dominating against them, while many others piblish only their wins and boasting.
If i remember correctly, Razzaq won a Superbike or something in this very tournament....One of the best and one of the most underrated all rounders of the game.....Respect for him.....always......Indian here....
Jalaj Chaturvedi wasim akram razak can score 7 runs against bumrah and also can save 7 runs in last over, surely he did that in the past, go and research
Those days were beautiful. 287 was like chasing 350 nowadays... Beautiful pitches beautiful matches. Good comparative cricket and commentry of Richie beanaurd. Awesome
Golden days of Pakistan cricket. Adul Razaq was a terrific all rounder. Micheal Bevan for oz. These people defined the 90s cricket for us. Oh boy and the golden commentary... wow... 90s kids had best life 😍💜💜🇮🇳🇵🇰💞

10.5 Bill Lawry" Full toss, this could be four, mid off might get it, no he won't, can he catch it, can he run it down, no he CAN'T, it's GONE, it's four more, oh this is magnificent stuff." Ian Chappell " Ever thought of being a race caller Bill" Absolutely love Bill Lawry, god I miss him in the commentary box. Good old days of channel 9, Richie Benaud, Tony Greig, Bill Lawry. Miss them all
being an indian..i actually loved the way razz treated these sledgers..its noce to see someone gave it back to them. best thing was the look on mcgraths face...loved every ball...😂😂😂
Why Glenn McGrath was the greatest bowler that I have witnessed was proved right in this particular video also...HOW...even after getting hit for five consecutive fours in five balls...McGrath has the mindset, willpower & skill to bowl a perfect yorker in 6th ball...this willpower of McGrath made him what he was the greatest of all time Australia has ever produced....
Kaash ye India ka hota. Iski cricket enjoy to krte. Bhut decent banda or super all rounder tha. Lekin PCB ki team management or politics nay iska career tabah kr diya. Shoaib Akhter nay bhi kaha tha k Mera ilawa Abdul Razzaq or Imran Nazir k sath bhut Ziyadti hui hai. Abhi bhi PCB talent waste kr raha hai. Muhammad Asif, Muhammad Amir, Junaid Khan, Muhammad Sami, Shoaib Akhter, Abdul Razzaq, Imran Nazir k baad ab PCB Akif Javed or Kernal Zahid, Shahnawaz Dahani ka career waste kr raha hai. Overrated Wasim Junior, Hassan Ali or Haris Rauf khel rahey hain. Sad😣
@@rockysoft2227 Not at all. His performance was always good. He always comes to bat at number 7 or 8 after the dismissal of Shahid Afridi, but still wins the match for Pakistan.
Most Pakistani batsmen used to roast Australian bowlers for fun such as the likes of Amir Sohail, Saeed Anwar, Miandad, Ijaz Ahmad, Afridi, Razzaq and more. Too bad, we couldn't get them convert into series win at all. So, Pakistan is yet to win the test series in Australia unfortunately.
@@choklibhai1857 yes, it was a big total, and as usual due to slow overrate, Pak had to play 49 overs; nonetheless Razzaq was awarded a super bike for best man of the series
Being Indian I loved this video with full Josh... Razzak was great talent... He killed fear factor of McGrath, to whom only Sachin and Lara used to attack...
Abdul Razzaq was devastating all rounder and has turned matches with his batting many a times. Unfortunately Pakistan doesn't have such quality players now. They had two in succession then..Azhar Mahmood and then Abdul Razzaq..
Loved watching Razzaq play such match winning innings. Best allrounder of his time and one very much underrated and unrecognised. One of the most humble and down to earth guys too
Best part of this video is composure of Razzak. He is so calm as if he doesn't even realize he is taking on most ferocious pacer in the world. Absolute king
