There have been plenty of great episodes but for me this is up there as the most moving. From the highest of highs to the lowest of lows then the fightback. Truly inspirational. Glad that Nick got back in at Fylde shortly after this interview. Shout out to the lads: always plenty of banter flying about but when empathy's needed they're not afraid to show their emotions.

I'd never heard of Nick Anderton until you put the podcast on. You deserve a lot of credit for letting him open up and speak about the horrific traumatic treatments he's been through without butting in. It's obviously still very raw and worrysome, but I hope that his tests show he's on the mend, please, keep us informed how he's doing as he seems like a top bloke!

Great podcast guys. Subscribed because of this. All the hard work from Gas fans... From private messages of support in their thousands...to the yellow ribbons sold...to the volunteers selling them at every opportunity and occasion...to those same people braving The Gate to collect at arch rivals Bristol City, and gathering a lot of money hunny...to the messages and donations from other clubs including Bristol City...to the intensive clapping of EVERY match, home and away on 16 mins...to iconic pictures being sold of NA on the famous traffic light...to the immortalised mural at the Mem of him...to all everything the club done with fabs and staff in unison....we are proud that it went in some small way to help you being here today to tell the story. We are the Gas family. We never forget one of our own. This is indelible in our history of rich and proud support on and off the pitch. Our undying support continues... UptheGas!

Well, we all love the podcasts with funny stories, and the all-time best you guys have done has to be Andy Johnson! 😂😂 But this is up there for very different reasons! My dad is going through terminal cancer at the moment, so this one really struck a chord, but what a brave man Nick Anderton is and well done his family and team mates for their support! 😢😢 It just shows that while we all like to laugh our way through life, covering important issues like this can also be equally captivating to listen to for so many reasons!

What a resilient young man. To have everything taken away at his peak and fight so hard to survive is a testament to his character, devoted family and friendship group. An unsung hero that knows how to battle and beat the vilest of illnesses. May he stay fit, healthy and continue to be role model to us all. If we ever needed a message to appreciate our own health which we often take for granted this was it. God bless every and anyone fighting cancer past and present. Well done UTC for delivering another great podcast to us all.

This was a tough one for me. Especially the talk about the treatment and side effects. My brother had terminal cancer and was initially given 3 years to live, but somehow endured through incredibly invasive treatments, including 3 stem cell transplants and many, many blood transfusions, for 12 years. Everything that Nick spoke about happened to him too. He still managed to attend matches at Bramall Lane when he was well enough, although it was physically exhausting for him he loved the Blades, and going to the match gave him something to look forward to. An escape, if only for a little while. Eventually the nerve damage and lack of immune system, caused by the years of chemotherapy, caught up with him. Love and respect to you and your family Nick.

You deserve the best lad. & massive well done to to the Cosh lads for tackling these subjects, can't imagine its easy to do these interviews, but its important work. Great job all. Signing up to Patreon after that and loving the Friday Club. I mentioned in a comment a while ago, I could just listen to these lot talking as mates - not even with a guest and about football and i've not been disappointed. I had it on in the car whilst the missus and the kids were sleeping and i'm listening to the Parky fart chat and i'm desperately trying not to crack up out loud and wake the sleepers up.
