I'm back to watch the video AGAIN!!! to see if I missed anything that can help in my aid, at this point l I have done is caused more damage, more money to replace stuff that has been stripped, I have tried everything under the sun except cut the strut bolts I don't have a cutter I'm so done working in this car I don't even want it anymore even if I fix the problems I'm finished with sonata she has let me down one too many times and I'm done with her
Can't you just remove the brake caliper bracket and leave the caliper bolted to it? That's what I did...also, on my sonata the 2 strut bolts would not come off, u ended up destroying them and still I can not get the remaining pieces of bolts out, the hub castle nut also would not come off, I spent 5 days trying to get it off with penatrant, impact drill, I broke 2 breaker bars and finally resorted to drilling the nut in half but all of that caused the spindle that the hub bolt tightens to to become stripped, and that is where I am stuck at this moment and have yet to even reach the bearing which was the original problem I was intending to replace. I've also had to replace a caliper in the process, absolute nightmare I wish I never even started. Now I can not drive the vehicle because the castle nut just slips out and that has ruined my brand new pads and ruined my rotor from the pads grinding against it
