I can’t believe you are getting stuff this late in the year! That’s fantastic! I put my garden to bed a month ago. My growing season is short but intense. 🇨🇦 But I must say, it’s truly satisfying when I do the final sweep of veggies to preserve up the last bits of stuff before the ten thousand feet of snow arrives. Peace and love ☮️💕

I am getting so anxious and impatient for our garden season to start! I love watching you and your family work together on your homestead, it's like watching my family and myself on video working together. So special 💖 so relatable, and enjoyable. I love seeing how successful your garden and season is, how well it is all preserved. I would love to watch some videos on your favorite preservation methods for each produce... Corn, green beans, melons, zucchini? It would be so wonderful to be able to chat about that kind of stuff with you. Being a young stay home mom and Workin our homestead I hardly ever get away to meet any other women with similar interests to share /gain experience!

I love your videos so much! I just did a video of putting my little garden to bed and still have a little bit of work to do. I am learning from you that a garden should never be put to bed! It should be allowed to grow year-round if possible. You are such a blessing! I did actually get my garlic planted on time this year, which was a miracle! I can’t imagine having a garden the size of yours but man it is such a blessing, and so amazing! Your children are amazing too. You are a beautiful team to watch.

Hi I think the dibbler you used for garlic should be of hollow metal pipes rather then wooden so that it doesn’t compact the ground under it For metal pipes all you need is a flap type arrangement so that it open as you push it down and blocks the hole with earth when you pull out which you should be able to release with simple a leaver arrangement just like hand clutch for bikes Hope I explained it correctly Great family video

Varies widely based on the season! At peak time in spring/summer 2-4 hours a day. Although, I could probably cut that back, I just love being out there. In the fall it's 1-2 hours, and in the winter, 2 hours a week, maybe less.

Do you have to water very much in your Hugh tunnel? How do you do that when it’s frozen?
@TheSeasonalHomestead
@TheSeasonalHomestead Год назад
No, as long as it's been watered before it gets cold, you don't need to water hardly at all. Maybe once every month by hand. When the weather is cold enough it never really dries out. I wouldn't water during freezing temps. If it gets above freezing during the day, I can hook up a hose and hand water.
