Northern European, never heard that, but that’s me. Got frozen shoulder. Now, I’m certainly no conspiracy theorist or such nonsense, but I got four vaccine shots in the same spot in my left shoulder within a year, and my shoulder never really recovered. One shot gave me a soft liquid pouch swelling under the left armpit. Soon after, my frozen shoulder set in. Any chance there’s a connection?

Check out SIRVA..it happened to me, after my flu shot. Now have two rotator cuff tears and frozen shoulder. I know for a fact it all began with that needle. Good luck.

Get better in a month? Not accurate. I've had both shoulders in the past. Also PT in inflammatory stage made me worse on both.

This is very very interesting. I'm trying to figure out if I have same issue (I'm in my 40's). When I try to raise my right arm up, it goes to 120 degrees and it just can't go any further. I feel a little bit discomfort. I'm struggling to put my right arm behind my back and it hurts more and I have to move my whole body on angle to try to put it. When I try to reach across my chest, it goes to maybe 135 degrees and I feel a little bit of a pain. I can put arm behind my head. When I put my right hand on my stomach and try to raise my elbow while hand is on stomach, I can't do it (this the most obvious difference compared to left arm elbow which I can move up quite a lot). The worst pain happens if let say I drop a car keys and I try to catch it. It doesn't happen often but when it happens, I can literally freeze up because of the pain. If put my left finger on top of my shoulder and I try to raise my right arm up, for some reason during the movement, my finger on top of the shoulder moves far behind, like behind the neck, while if I put my right finger on my left shoulder (I can reach across with right arm to my left shoulder as long as my arm is not straight), then finger doesn't move as much if I try to raise my left arm (good arm). If I move my right arm away from my body and try to raise it up, it can go maybe 120 degrees (second exercise from video). I have good strength in my right arm. Do you think this is frozen shoulder or maybe some kind of tear or AC joint dysfunction, should I get MRI? It kind of looks weird. As if my whole body and bottom muscles (under arm) are trying to lift my arm up so I'm kind of on the angle struggling to raise my arm up (look like my top muscles are frozen as well). Also, if I do have frozen shoulder, would heat be better then cold on the shoulder (for muscles to relax, maybe to use hot parafin maybe 30 minutes before exercise, or hot shower)? Thank you.

Mijagi1976 I have had this exact same problem as you describe for about 8 months. The part about dropping something and trying to catch it really hits home. That sure does hurt when that happens and I keep doing it. I can’t seem to train myself to not react. I did a telephone appointment with ortho doc. He said it is probably a partially torn rotator cuff. None of the treatments he prescribed helped even a little so I started researching on my own. I recently came across frozen shoulder info and I’m pretty sure that’s what I have. I’m hoping I can find ways to speed up the recovery.

@@lemongavine So, is it better now now? Did you get full range of motions back? That dropping thing actually disappeared maybe one month ago, but I still mentioned it because it might differentiate from some other disorder. I remember one time I tried to catch something, but just a little bit, and it literally froze me and it spread to my muscle on the back. And it for one minute I could not move because I wanted to pain to stop and it did after 1 minute. Now if tried to catch something, I just feel discomfort, no sharp pain. When you are looking in the mirror and you try to raise your affected arm, do you see a bump in the shoulder (as if your affected shoulder becomes bigger when you try to raise it, as if your bone (humerus) is close to your jaw while the arm that is not affected rotates freely in place). That is easy to see if you put your finger (from opposite arm) on top of your affected shoulder and try to raise your affected arm and do the opposite on the arm that is not affected and compare.

Mijagi1976 unfortunately, it is not better yet. Range of motion is still the same....bad. Yeah, that reaction to catch something is unbelievably painful. Like stop everything, hunch over in pain until it goes away. That part is the only thing that has gotten a little better. I dropped something yesterday and was surprised that it didn’t hurt when I reacted. I’m telling you, I’m 90% exactly like everything you describe. If I look in the mirror when I raise both arms, the bad one looks almost deformed and paralyzed and there is a bump in my shoulder. Just yesterday, I started using a golf club to push my arm up just slightly beyond the pain point.....trying to stretch it out. I’m doing front, sides and back. I get a little pop that hurts a little when I do the front raise. It seems to be helping a little. I was afraid to do that if it was a torn rotator cuff. Now that I’m confident it’s frozen shoulder, I’m not afraid to stretch it. FYI, I had to move my wallet to my other pocket, I have trouble washing my opposite arm pit and I am now a left-handed wiper on the toilet (that took some practice☺️). Getting dressed is difficult too. I had to figure out new ways of doing things. Best of luck to you. It sounds like yours might be healing faster than mine.

@@lemongavine Yeah, it appears it is the same thing. I went to 2 chiropractors and one doctor and interestingly all 3 of them after motion tests said it is frozen shoulder. But the last chiropractor said it doesn't necessarily come from shoulder. She was working on the neck a lot. I know when I'm working on the computer, I have a feeling like my head is protruding forward all the time and it might be related to the shoulder as well. She things my front muscles are much stronger then the back (scapula) muscles so they are pulling my right arm forward out of the place as well. If you put your affected arm on your stomach button, can you raise your elbow up while holding your hand on stomach? I can't. Also today I got on the MSM chondroitin and glucosamine supplement and also on collagen so we'll see if that works. Or if nothing works, then I guess, the painful way: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--o8prtoWlqs.html

Mijagi1976 I just watched that video in your link. Damn. I can feel that guy’s pain. I actually cracked up laughing one time for some reason. It’s not funny really. I read that there’s a procedure that you can have done under anesthesia. It’s probably what that guy did but you don’t have to experience the pain. It’s interesting that you mention the neck and scapula. I have the same issue where I lean my neck forward at my computer. I also have bad upper back posture when at my computer. It has crossed my mind that this may be what caused the problem in the first place. I’ve been trying to have better posture. I just tried your belly button test. I cannot raise my elbow away so, yeah, same problem there as you. I’m thinking about getting a vibrating massager and seeing if that helps loosen things up.
