Will future shipments of the X-Lite Pro, & X9-Lite come with the D-16/D-8 firmware pre-installed right out of the box? I know it's hard to believe, but some of us don't have computers at the moment to update the firmware.

I'm not sure, but I would think that would be the case. However, I'm pretty sure they have stock piles of inventory sitting around with the old firmware like I got because of all the negative press they got. I've heard no one is buying these so they backtracked to appease the masses.

The hardware is not made for D8, to use it with D8 i guess you need to use a module

Where have you heard that the hardware won't work for D8? I've heard the D8 firmware update is definitely coming, so these two rumors seem to be at odds with one another.

I hope it does, but other reviewers say that it can't support D8 as the limit is in the hardware and not software. Only way to use D8 is with external module it seems

Albert kim how u likin the xlite pro is it worth it over the original ? Is accst gonna still be compatible with the newer access receivers coming outjust stuck between gettin another xlite or xlite pro ? Which would u get

The X-Lite Pro has nicer gimbals and switches. The problem is the firmware and it not working with D8 receivers. Even with some D16 receivers it won't bind with certain third party receivers and some older XM+ receivers. FrSky has really screwed the pooch with their new ACCESS radios IMO.

Should work with R-XSR with good matching firmware on both sides. Should work with an external ELRS module too. I gave this one away before ELRS came out.

Have you updated to the latest firmware? Checked that it actually updated? The last guy who had this problem said he updated and after a week of back and forth it turned out the update didn't take.

I don't think the hardware in it support D8, but D16 is only limited by firmware

*No D8 mode then No Way.* What am I supposed to with a crapload of D8 whoops? Yeah, don't even go there about flying D16...I like my whoops to stay in the air while I'm flying them. *What is wrong with FrSky?* Did they suddenly forget how they got to where they are today???

Still rocking this excellent Frsky X Lite Pro in 2023 😊. The gimbals are metal, probably aluminium which is one of the differences between the Pro and standard versions. So should last longer or take more aggressive stick movements depending how you fly. Not tried upgrading to EdgeTX yet?
