Absolutely right.organizing is frugal.you see exactly what you have, toss older, expired foods, and you can easily see at a glance what you need. My tip, keep a written inventory of pantry items, freezer, fridge items.on the proper pantry/cabinet ,fridge, freezer.this helps you to know hey we are running low on x item. Also, never, ever shop just to shop, because youre sad, angry, hurt, depressed, hungry.you end up with debt, regrets, and junk nobody needs or wants.
Watching from Ontario, Canada. We're gearing up here for Thanksgiving on the 2nd Monday of October. After Halloween, the Christmas music and some decorations normally start going up in the malls. It will be interesting how things are going to play out this year around these festivities in both our countries.
As someone who only gets smiling pumpkins, ghost and witches; it’s good to see I’m not the only one. I like a happy Halloween. All my decorations are old, some are handmade. I love seeing and visiting with them every year.
I’m late to the party of this video, but I wanted to comment and let you know that I made this recipe last night and my whole family loved it! It was simple but so good!!
I love watching your videos you're so real about showing things that normal people have like me I work all day my cabinets don't look all pretty and all that kind of stuff. I hate when I miss your day of your video because I was working so much. Have a blessed 🙏 day 🙏. Yeah I like those I have something similar .
your dishes on the counter are my favorite! Our cabinets were a bit unruly until this last week. We took everything out one cabinet at a time; never more than we could do in 15 minutes. It was a chill 100 degrees here in Vegas today.....
Your background music playing while you showed your lovely Halloween decorations was very cute. You put so much heart and love into all that you do. Debi in Vicksburg, MS. 🥰🥰
I didn't want the video to end. My whole pantry looks like your cabinet. I have a few of those type of canisters from Walmart, but would like a matching set. My Granddaughter likes to make pasta, but she forgets to check to see if a box is already open, so I have a few open boxes I can consolidate. Just made sausage, potato and onion the other night. Usually use green peppers, but no one likes them (or peas). I like the idea of taking it out of the casings as I went through 7 sausages for 4 of us and there's hardly any room for the potatoes even in my biggest pan, so I may try that next time. Finally 66 degrees here in SC this morning and it feels wonderful.
Dont feel bad Emmy. I think we all have cupboards that need some organizing. I just did my bureau drawers this morning and found a few things i had forgotten i even had. The sausage looks delicious. Love your decorations! Fall is my favorite time of the year. It was 34 degrees here in northern Maine this morning at 6am. Brrr! Have a great weekend!
Hi Emmy, That sausage and potato dish looks wonderful. My only suggestion would be is to make a double batch and freeze half. I like to maximize my oven and conserve propane so I never just put one thing in it. Recently, I did a deep clean on my electric coffee percolator and my upright vacuum got new filter and belt. Would love to see you and Paul tune up some appliances to maximize performance and life span. Cheers!
Great video. Loved the background Halloween music! Also nice to see Mr. Bear in the background filled with the dish soap, lol 😂 another great idea. Stay warm 🥰
You and Paul inspired me to decorate for fall! I made your spaghetti pie again this week with penne for my kids. PB cookies today. First time- made foaming soap with Xmas gift body gel that we never use. You are my favorite youtuber bc I can really do these things. Not as hard and perfect as some others. Bless you!
Dinner looks delicious. The reorganized cabinet looks great with the new containers. I’ve been using similar storage containers in my cabinets and love them.
You're too funny! That cabinet was not all that bad! I've seen worse right around the corner from where I'm sitting. lol What a difference the storage containers made. Looks super organized now. Thankyou for another simple one dish recipe. I'm going to have to start a notebook of your RU-vid recipes. I enjoyed your fall/Halloween decorations and the scary music! :)
Your baking cabinet before you organized it looks like mine 😄 I love one pan recipes, that looks really good and simple to make. Your home looks beautiful and cozy! Thanks guys! Have a great weekend! 🙂
The plastic slatter guards to use over food being heated in microwave, make wonderful spill proof caddies-lazy susans for shelves, cabinets, and pantries. I get mine at $TREE
Meal looks lovely, will try it sometime. Weather in UK still very summery, went on boat trip on River Thames today, beautiful weather. Blessings to you both.
It's still in the low hundreds here but the season is changing even if the temperature is slow to. I am so ready to decorate 👻🕸Halloween is my favorite 🎃 your dinner and your cabinets look great
More lovely recipe ideas thankyou, Doesnt feel too like autumn here in England yet , we seem to be having a very long summer, thankyou for your happy smile needed in this worrying time Godbless x
What a delicious recipe, yummy! again I'm eating chocolates while watching your video I'm going to get fat lol , it's 99 degrees here!. very nice decorations
Your home looks great! That dinner looks delicious. Unfortunately, here in Phoenix it was 109° today. Hopefully soon we will be below 100°. Thank you for sharing. ❤❤
Wow, your newly organized cabinets are Pinterest-worthy now! Cooking and baking must be so much more enjoyable now that you can see everything at a glance! Glad you had a hearty Fall meal after a long day of cleaning! Looked so delicious! I make something very similar using kielbasa, plus I add cut up butternut squash for a pop of color. Enjoy your cooler weather up there! Down here in NH we've had a few morning in the upper 40's, too! [love it!]
Emmy, what a delightful video!! I loved your sausage and potato bake! I will try that, for sure! Your house looks soooo scary and fun! I wish we could sit in a driveway during these beautiful autumn days, and share a glass of wine together! Sending a virtual hug to you and Paul!
Hi emmy Your house looks lovely well done I've just been planning my meals for next week and decided to do that recipe myself but mine uses turkey mince made into meatballs with plum tomatoes Your cupboard looked amazing and well organised take care both of you and stay safe xx💙💚💛💜
But I do not like peas! would broccoli work! lol ! loved your video! Starting to buy Halloween Candy it is easier to buy a couple of bags a week instead of buying it all at once. Have a great weekend!
This recipe will be tried in this house this week! Yummmmmmm. Your cabinet, after looks great! Have one that needs to be tackled shortly. Very unorganized! Great motivation! The canisters look interesting. Going to check them out! Thanks for sharing ❤️
Awesome video. We make almost the same sausage and potato dish. Thanks for the great idea. Next time I am adding peas! Question - I am so curious- is that a Temptations baking dish? I am a huge fan of them! Can we see the sides of the dish? Who makes the pumpkin dishes on your counter? They look like they could be Temptations. Loved the home tour - very festive! 👍
Yes Fran the pumpkin plates are Temptations! I got them all together for $25! I adore them! I use them straight through with Thanksgiving. The other dish is not. I got that at a thrift store a while back! I think I even did a video on it lol!
What an awesome deal you got! They are gorgeous! I know you can’t say exactly where you live but I am so curious. I live in CT and have spent a lot of time in upstate NY. I feel like we would hang out if we were neighbors.
Your decorations are adorable! I love vintage. A couple of years ago I found several super cute vintage decorations at my local thrift store and I have to say, I haven't paid full price at a "typical" store for holiday decorations since. I may not have the trendiest decorations but, like I said, I love the vintage look. Plus, I spent a lot of time with my grandparents growing up and the vintage look reminds me of my childhood, so it has an extra bonus. Lol. Anyway, I have a rather random, possibly silly, completely unrelated question. Is it possible to freeze cooked meat? Like, if I roast chicken, can I put the leftovers in the freezer? If so, do I need to do anything special to it?
No question is ever silly! You most definitely can freeze cooked meat. Just make sure it's freshly cooked and refrigerator cooled first. Chicken is best when you add a bit of gravy or broth to it so it doesn't dry out. Just make sure if you put it in like a ziplock bag you get all the air out. Ground beef can just be browned, drained, and refrigerator cooled and then bagged to freeze.
@@FrugalMoneySaver Thank you! I am a relatively new subscriber and I have been making my way through your videos. I have been on a journey the last few months of simplifying my life in a lot of ways. It has been one of those situations where you stop & realize that how you want to live, what you feel is important in terms of where your time, meaning, purpose & money are going, are not lining up with what is actually happening in your life, lol. I didn't want to do that anymore. And then presto, I came across your channel. I just love it & recommended it to several people at Mass this morning. Thank you & Paul for sharing yourselves with us. You are a comforting, joyful light spot in the middle of so much craziness.
I am so so happy our channel is a blessing! Thank you for recommending us to others! I totally understand Heather what you are saying... Have a blessed week!!
