It's common knowledge that fruit is one of the staples of a healthy diet.
However, it contains more natural sugars than other whole foods like vegetables. For this reason, many people question whether it's good for your waistline.
So in this video I'm looking at whether fruit is actually weight loss friendly or fattening.

Thank you for your video talk sir. I am trying to be more vegetable/fruit oriented and as mobility (and laziness!)is a problem it seems to make sense even at my age. If I may say so, your diet seems to have worked very well for you. Blessings and peace

I notice some of the articles I had bookmarked on AuthorityNutrition now don't exist since the move to healthline. And it seems to suggest a bias now present which didn't exist before (the vanished articles have a particular theme). I've already gone from a huge fan to not reading anymore, unsubscribing here on YT now in my final good bye.

I have noticed more of a bias emerging lately also. Disappointing if they continue down that slippery slope.

there is not one single vitamin or nutrient in fruit that is not in vegetables. Why would I need 163 of required vitamin C?

"Natural" sugars found in food are *not different*. They're the same chemical compounds. They're just part of other complex substances, that's why it's different effects. It's like You will talk that protein in protein powders are different then in food... It's kinda stupid.

fahad abdulaziz you're not wrong, but you can also apply that to eating Twinkies and Oreos all day. Yes, you will still lost fat, BUT eating a diet full of fruits, veggies, etc. Will lower weight WHILE pumping your body full of vitamins and minerals.

Yes and no. If you eat less calories then you need, then you will lose weight, doesn't matter what it is as long if it's less then your body needs. However not every calorie (energy) you put in your mouth get's absorped by your body. The more processed something is, the easier it is for your body to transform it into energy and use/store that. So you can eat 2 things that both go in your mouth for 100 calories but with one your body absorps 90 calories and the other 80 calories.
