Alexx Wretched I know a guy like that. I knew him in High school and he ALWAYS wore a hoodie. And I always wondered how he did it lol. So you just suffer until you don't suffer anymore lol.
I started wear a sleevless denim hoodie over a flannel shirt after watching this and it really makes me feel better. I still don't pass yet, but it makes me look more androgynous.
@@smiley3199 Mtf and ftm vlogs: Patients are deceived, but doctors are pure evil. Doctors have duty to know more and understand good and evil. The doctors of this generations are all gone mad. My husband is a cis male and he has curvy hips and a bubble bum. He embraces it lol and I love it too. There are many guys with curvy hips 💜 It can definitely cause dysphoria though. So I get it.
About the stiffness of denim- I used to try to wear really large n baggy clothing to hide my chest and sides, but I found that stiffer fabrics that fit me properly actually do a lot better, so I’m glad that you mentioned this!!
So my chest is too big for a binder to flatten it completely, instead it just looks like a normal person wearing a sports bra. But I live in California where it's hot all year around and I can't layer up without people always asking why. One time I wore a T-shirt no jacket and my teacher said "wow omg you have arms!!"
nothing to do with being trans but in middle school my dad didn't have a lot of money, he's a single father, & im tall af so my pants were always a bit short, & one time my band teacher said "don't your ankles get cold with your high waters?" IN FRONT OF THE WHOLE CLASS. it hurt. i still think about it sometimes & im 21 lol
relateable with the heat, in az it gets to 120f in the summer and its SUuuuPER fun. but actual school has ac on max 10 months a year, so i wear hoodies all year. (i get cold SO easily and i hate it btw) but during august it cools down to about 107 ish. and by then we are indoors
Ah see it's not technically hot enough to have AC, so it's just hot. Not that hot though, it rarely goes above 95. It did get to 110 in September though!
this is such a wholesome video.... I just layer tf out of all my warm coats but summer I'm usually completely lost. Where the heck can I find some sweet lookin cut off sleeve jean jackets with hoods like that holy crap
I constantly wear hooded shirts & hoodies, it helps sooo much. I'm so self-conscious about my tiny frame/arms/shoulders! I tried rolling up my t-shirt sleeves but it didn't help me. It just makes my tiny arms more obvious LOL.
BananeSurBalcon sometimes a hooded shirt doesn’t even work because I use shitty sports bras to bind. I’ll be able to buy my own shit when I’m like, 16 so only two more years of this complete chaos and then I’ll relieve some dysphoria. And then I’ll have to wait another two years to come out and transition because if I do it while living with my parents, they might kill me.
I watched through an entire Fifty Shades Freed trailer just to get you the ad sense, Aaron. I hate that franchise. I only watch through ads for you and Chase.
I'm a pre-T trans boy and almost everyone, if not everyone has helped me so much, Thank you. To anyone and everyone who is struggling or is in a tough place, you'll get through it, all it takes is patience, hard work, and the courage to reach your goals and you'll make it, I love you all ❤ ❤
How were you able to find button ups that fit? I flare out as well and I have yet to find a single button up where I can actually button the bottom button. Also I relate to the forearm thing it's the only part of me where you can see muscle it's my favorite part of my body lol
+Ryan Lee I never button my button up's, I usually wear them open with a shirt. Unless I'm at like, a formal event. In which case, my shirt is tucked in, so I don't need to button the bottom button. But I find the DJAB shirts fit me quite well and aren't as narrow!
Ryan Lee its weird but try walmart around wintery seasons because walmart clothing isnt made to be fitted (you can always tailor it if it bothers) they are usually more boxyish than the ipside down triangle shape that youll find at places like h&m
Late to the party but I feel your pain. What's even worse is being short which means the shirt goes down your hip and you really don't want it to be tight down there. What I do is go to the kids' section. It's far from perfect but their shirts are often shorter which makes it easier to button them up 'cause they are not all over the place in your hip/butt area.
This was so sweet and genuine Aaron (: I love how big your heart is. And you’ve helped me a lot despite being AMAB and not a trans guy. Love you lots 💕
Essentially what I wanted to say. You are so inspiring and sweet. Please always be you and please try (I know it's hard, but just try) to remind yourself of how important you are to others when you are feeling down.
Thank you so much for these tips! I really struggle finding the right combination of clothes that don't cling to the wrong places. For people looking for good pants to wear that will help, I'd recommend a straight cut pair of mens Levi's. They're able to fit at my waist but still make my hips appear straighter. They're not tight around the butt yet also don't look like they've been sagged. Also for those who want to minimize the appearance of their thighs they are pretty much straight down from the back so there's a comfortable amount of room so the pant legs don't look like skinny jeans (which most mens pants tend to look like on me even when they're not supposed to).
I'm glad I figured some of this out before watching this video. I roll my sleeves on long shirts, button-ups. Hoodies and layering are great pro tips, thank you!
I love this video out of all the other videos because you actually have style and you made so many points that not every person covered even with the long shirts make your butt more round point DUDE YOUR A FUCKING GENIUS
I think that it’s awesome that you’re doing these tutorials; you’re helping a lot people by doing so, perhaps people who don’t have anyone they feel comfortable asking these questions. Keep up the great work!!!
Something I do too, with the folded long sleeve, I'll wear the flannel™️ and a long sleeve under, I roll up the flannel sleeve and then the long sleeve over, it helps my arms! Love to all my trans friends! :D
I know it's "not cool" to comment on older videos, but I am getting ready to start T hopefully next month, so I'm watching EVERY video I can because I'm excited!! I just want you to know that this video (and part 2) have been a lifesaver for me. I am a very curvy person with a BIG ass and big thighs and I am constantly getting called "miss" and "ma'am" in public by people and it drives me nuts. I've been trying to figure out ways to make my shape less curvy so I stop getting misgendered all the time. I was born AFAB and I identify as non binary/demi boy. I go by they/he pronouns. I just went to Amazon and added about 6 things to my wishlist!! I'm loving all the sleeveless things you suggested because I have PCOS and I have been getting hot flashes since my teen years. The hot flashes are horrible and I know it's going to get worse when I start T. But it will be worth it. Thank you again for all of the tips. I love the trans community and how much we all help each other. 🥰 You guys make me feel more welcome than half of my relatives.
I love this so much. These tips are so helpful. Dont get me wrong i love hoodies but people hate when i wear them in the summer. Im not usually cold by any stretch of the imagination but for me the whole half way to heat stroke thing was worth it. Im glad i came across this because it is so helpful. Now i dont have to sweat. The hood thing is so true tho lol
Omg bless Aaron, i am so using these tips. I could never figure out how to hide my binder without looking like i’m wearing my stepdad’s clothes, this really helped! Thanks so much!! 🌱
Dude i absolutely appreciate this video, it is extremely helpful and confidence boosting because a lot of the things you mentioned I already like, or own. I really appreciate the tips on hiding things while binding because i have the same "wing" issue you have lmao. Thank you so much! P.s. totally platonic but you look absolutely adorable/handsome with that sleeveless hoodie!
I've been experiencing a lot of dysphoria and this really helped give me some tips. Thanks my dude. You and Chase actually help me so so much and ily. ❤️
Thanks for this video Aaron! It was perfectly timed, I literally had a breakdown today that was partly clothing-dysphoria related and then my friend told me you were about to upload this and it was just amazing timing. Especially as another post-top guy who has been on T a while, it's nice to hear you mention the things you still feel dysphoric about, and it makes me feel less shitty about... feeling shitty despite being on T for a while. I also have a denim vest and I love it for the same reasons you mentioned :)
Thank you for this Aaron. I love wearing stuff that makes me feel more masc. I have BAD body dysphoria so every bit of tips I learn helps. Love you Plant Daddi
So like I've seen videos like this before but I guess I forgot about them?? Idk but I n e e d e d this oh my god thanks boi!!! 💜💜💜 I've been thinking about cutting the sleeves off of one of my hoodies and now I just have all the ideas. Ilu~ 🌱✨ (Also, I get hot in .2 seconds, so I FEEL u)
Thaaaaaank you for this. I kinda had a mini revelation while watching and found a way to describe where my issues with my chest are (and waist) - kinda unrelated to the actual content of your video, but it has helped me all the same :) Also, this is giving me even more of a push to hunt down some button up shirts at the thrift store. I have exactly one shirt like that that I love to wear, and your video helped explain what it is about that shirt that i enjoy so much. Thanks, Aaron! Happy Friday :)
Thank you for this!! It’s very helpful since I’ve not had top surgery yet. And normally I like to keep these things to myself but you are SO damn attractive! Like omg! 😍
When I wear a binder and a bigger pulli, I am flat and I am so happy about that. But I really need to get some of thos sleeveless hoodie things from H&M.
I really adore your style! Watching you on the podcast and on Instagram made me want to wear again a lot of things that I put away because people told me they were “too masc” and it made me super-uncomfortable. But screw them! I’m going to wear what I want! Thank you so much for making me realize this!
YES wear what you want!!!!!! like a great random person on the internet once said "all clothes are unisex if you stop giving a sh*t" and to me what that means is wear whatever makes you happy and don't care about what other people think, we all need to be comfortable in our own skin and to do that we must wear whatever the fuck we want
Man I swear so often I'm watching your vids you say something that I'm just 'omg me too!' about! I *always* wear my sleeves rolled up, I won't wear a short sleeve button down, but I will always roll up the sleeves, and people ask 'why don't you just get short sleeve ones?' haha, I'm basically 'you just don't understand' lmao
Yo i saw this video like two months ago and since then got a vest as per your recommendation and can i just say Hell Yeah thanks for that tip in particular and also the whole video
Omg i do the same - i wear button up plaid shirts for that exact reason and a printed tshirt underneath -awful in the summer but it works 😂😭these types of videos are really useful thank you
Thank you for this video Aaron. I'm a cis woman, but I hate my body and I'm always lost at how to cover up my hips and chest. These tips were really helpful :) thank you! Sending love :) xx
Ohhh sleeveless hoodies, that’s a good one, I remember I used to have one when I Didn’t Know Yet and I loved wearing that thing because it made me feel so badass. Little did I know... 😂
Great video, useful advise! I get what you're saying about long shirts... but myself I love long shirts cause if they cover the crouch area it really helps with my lower dysphoria! I guess long i the front and short in the back would be ideal... :P
I found wearing dungarees/overalls works great for me. I don‘t need to bind (only works depending on your body) i just wear a tshirt underneath. Also it straightens out my silhouette. You don’t instantly have to look like a farmer😂 i wear one by carhart and one that i thrifted. I know a lot of (Cis)guys wearing them and i think it‘s a cool Look! They have some constructional wear vibes as well :)
