Unfortunately, they built it into the tank, it’s not accessible. I’ve heard of people punching through it as a temporary fix but obviously if the vehicle were to roll, it would spill gasoline through that port.
Have the same issue on my 2020 tundra with 23k. Stops fueling after 2sec and i can pull the pump out a bit but have to fuel very slowly or it overflows. 3 years manufacturers warranty expired last year so I'll have to pay this out of pocket. Just pissed it happened at 23k.
That's a bummer man. You should try calling Toyota and seeing if they will do a good faith warranty. Sometimes for situations like this, they will either cover it or give a discount, they'll set it all up with the dealer and you just drop off the vehicle. This is a pretty common problem so it shouldn't be a surprise to them. With that low of miles, this shouldn't happen with a Toyota, that's why we buy these vehicles.
There was a flap in the tank fill tube the tech just bent back into place. It's a safety/antitheft thing that won't let you siphon gas. It's at the bottom of the fill tube so they still has to drop the tank and reach inside the tank. That's what the service advisor told me. It was still over 400 to get that done. But better then a new tank which was over 2k.
