She is not Sly Stone and she is not Rick James, not by a damn long shot. She had two albums that were landmark, but those happened OVER 25 YEARS ago. Maybe if she stopped sucking her thumb and acted like she cared a little bit, things might turn around for her.

Pras is right she's been consistent with her lateness and I believe she knows exactly what she's doing. She's being arrogant at this point. If you are still making the decision to go see her in concert just know that's she's going to be two or three hours late or just might not show up at all. This is her behavior. If she knows she supposed to be on stage at 8pm she's going to make sure that she doesn't show up until 10 or 11pm. If you crazy enough to keep falling for her shenanigan's, that's on you. I'll continue to listen to her music on You Tube. I'm good. 😂

Pras - If you think people who paid a ticket deserve this somehow, then that's your own low standard. Not everyone else's. As great as her 1 album is Lauryn Hill just don't know how to get to a venue on time. She has no respect for fans or the staff working who need to leave on time. I also know a few radio / engineer staff who she has blamed for her bad performances. She even cusses out her band live on stage when she sounds awful, blaming everyone else. Accountability is a big issue. And of course its everyone elses fault lol.

Kanye was 3 hours late at Bonnaroo 2009. He made such a stink with the promoters about having to perform on the next largest stage and at dusk for his Glow in The Dark tour that the promoters agreed to let him play after the headliner which was Pearl Jam. Pearl Jam played an extra two hours in protest. I saw 50k attendees who had been waiting for 8 hours to get a good spot filing out around 4 am all chanting FU Kanye. 50k people chanting anything together is surreal enough. There was very nearly a riot. Ironically, when he finally did show up the sun was fully up in the morning sky. So much for the glow in the dark tour. Granted it was a hippy fest. So there’s that. I went home and checked out his lyrics on his web site. Brilliant! Amazing! Relevant! Those words understate his talent. You’d never know it by the insults he was spitting. Folks were throwing shit at him and broke his Jumbotron with a full bottle of water. If he’d shown up on time and played his show he’d have had 80k new fans. As it stood, it made AP news. The promoters got what they needed. Kanye got paid. The attendees, they got ripped off. Bad JUJU in anyone’s book.

That’s a horrible standard to set for artists. So because certain ones are known to stroll on into the venue at their leisure, we should take it or leave it because that’s just how they are? Why don’t we hold these rude artists accountable. When they are touring & doing live shows they are WORKING. You don’t show up to work whenever you want & completely disrespect your customers. It’s so rude & unprofessional, also setting a low standard for upcoming artists who see as long as they have a small loyal fan base, they can act & treat the public however they want.
