I love my XE1. I use it with a manual lens and for black and white mostly. It gets lots of comments as people think it’s analogue. I use my XT3 for the bigger auto lenses. The images are so retro I enjoy it a lot.

The X-E1 was the start of my Fujifilm journey in 2014, whilst it has been joined by a big brother it still get lots of use. Not planning on parting with it anytime, it is an essential part of my gear.

I shot weddings with 2 X-E1s and an x-Pro 1 years ago after selling off my dslrs. Switched to Leica. But recently rebought 2 X-Pro 1s for cheap. Love the first X-Trans sensors. Cheers.

I love my X-E1. I took that snd my X-Pro2 on holiday last week and used the X-E1 90% of the time.

I bought this camera on the back of your recommendations in earlier vids. I like to shoot film and I use this with my old film lenses and a more contemporary 7artisans 35 1.2.

It's a beautiful little camera. The built in diopter allows me to shot w/o my glasses. I keep thinking I'm going to upgrade, but I love the images it produces.

I sold my X-E1 and 27mm 2.8 lens last year and missed it so much I just purchased another X-E1 and 27mm lens this past week. I carry it in my bag with my Leica rangefinder system and enjoy using it... Thanks for all the video's Chris...

My first mirrorless camera was the XE1 with the 27mm pancake lens. I still have it and love using it. I bought it for shooting discreetly in the church at weddings. I recently bought 2 XM-1 cameras, 1 black, one silver with the 27mm and 18mm lenses on both bodies for my street photography. These cameras are quick focusing and so small and light. I tend to use them all the time. I sold the XE2 as I have my trusty XE1. The quality from these 2 little cameras is so good. One fits in my jacket pocket and the other in the palm of my hand.

Just bought that very same combination from LCE. What a perfect little camera. Make sure you learn how to control the aperture on the ring-less aperture lenses using the down button on the (menu) selector.Great video!

Hi Chris not sure whether to get the xe1 or spend a little more on a xt1 I take photos for fun just learning and enjoying photography from snaps to landscapes

I had an X-E2S. Loved that camera and the images it produced but as a left-hander with a left master eye, the ergonomics were all wrong. could not get used to trying to look through the EVF with the wrong (right!) eye. I really like the X-Trans II sensor though and so now have an X-T1, which I love as well as another fabulous camera, the X-T20. Sadly neither of the X-Trans1 sensor cameras with an EVF suit me ergonomically.

My favorite camera. My favorite sensor. I bought it in 2017 and will never change it. Slow? Oh, yes. But when you take your time and nail it, you get the best pastel look.

The X-E1 was my first Fuji camera, and being an amateur I always sell or trade in my old camera when buying a new camera, but I now miss my X-E1, I'm a painter and one thing which blew me away with the X-E1 was it's painterly feel, I took seascapes which could easily be mistaken for oil paintings at a glance, and this is the only camera I've ever owned which has done that without any kind of manipulation, filters etc. Anyway, just doing a deep dive on X-E1 videos to see if I'm right to miss this little camera so much, and before I even finished watching this one I started scouring the net for an X-E1, and placed an order!

Got the XE1 two years back to try out the Fujifilm system. It ended up replacing my Sony A7s. The colours are just fantastic. Got the XE2 recently and it is a better camera overall with faster operation and a silent shutter. Got the xpro1 also recently and it is similar to the XE1 in image quality. But the smaller form factor of the XE1 is a joy to use. Am finally using the XE1 the most.

Thanks Chris. After viewing your videos on the X-E1 and other videos on it and the X-Pro1, I've been looking. The X-Pro1 has gotten expensive as a cult camera and diopter adjustment and size actually make the E1 a better fit. I just came across an E1 in excellent shape and bought it for a good price. It joins my X-E2s, X-E3 and X-H1. I've done a little testing and I'm very pleased with the results. I do think it has a filmic look. I'm going to do some side by side comparisons soon. The only problem now is it has made me want to buy an X-E4 to complete the set!
