Your videos are amazing. So informative and you can also tell that you actually care about what you're doing. I'm currently using coloured spray and hair fibres which do the trick but this would make life do much easier. I also feel it would make me happier. I have to get my finances in order and maybe someday, I may be able to do this. I truly feel like you're incredibly genuine and like you're a friend as strange as that may sound. You just seem to really care in a very open and honest way. I apprevuate how you not only talk about the benefits but the complications that may sometimes arise. Seems worth it though because you look incredible even when you say you're having bad hair days. Thank you for making these videos and I mean that from the bottom of my heart.

The tape is cheaper and easier less mess . I have tried your method to tape on the side and the back save me a lot of time. I’ve been using the tape for the front too and it worked great with the hairline and that’s all I use now no Glue just tape. If I expose my hairline I have to redo every 7 to 8 days but if I don’t expose my hairline I get about 2 weeks out of it.

I recently had a hairpiece fitted at the salon and the stylist did it with tape. I am really happy with it. I replace it every 4-5 days and it feels secure. I was wondering though if fitted with glue it would stay secure for longer. However, after watching this I'll just keep using tape. I couldn't be bothered with all the prep and the potential mess from the glue! I sweat a lot even in cold weather so glue no good for me I think. Great vid - very informative and helpful. thanks.

I currently use a full bond, because the salon I go to refuses to use tape for the sides, as much as it makes sense. Now I woke up with glue all in my hair and on the sides and all over my pillow and sheets. It's disgusting and very hard to get out. I do NOT recommend a full bond. This is the second time this has happened to me, and they have tried multiple different bonds on me. I say everyone should do it like Curtis does, it makes the most sense. As soon as this hair piece is at the end of it's time. I will be ordering everything from Curtis as soon as the month is over with the Salon. I wanted to experience it from a salon before doing it from my self. I will never go to a Salon again. Thanks Curtis!

I had the exact same experience with the place I went to, the only option they offer is a full glue bond so I had no choice. I put up with a full bond for a month and just today I took it off and used only tape around the perimeter. What a difference! My system feels so much more light weight and breathable. Not to mention cleaning a hair system after a few weeks with a full bond is an absolute nightmare. I will never go back to a full bond for the rest of my life, it's insane that some salons insist on it.

Hey, Curtis! Thanks a bunch for the tape advice back a while ago! Really helped a lot! Because many on-line sellers and hair replacement salons advise against using tape on NG units due to the fragility. Such BS!!! Yeah, it is fragile, but not that fragile! Also, your Stick It Clear Bond is awesome! I'll try to get my local salon to place an order for that adhesive with you when I get back from my vacation.
@HairExperience

Yes sir, all of them do. All of the units are Fragile technically speaking. So its just common sense to be careful, right !!
@kuldipsingh366
@kuldipsingh366 5 лет назад
With tape you lose hair so much quickly from the unit then fully bonded Poly system, where there is no glue holding down the hair, V loops fall out so quickly. There are no knots to hold it down.

Hello Kurtis, I have seen plenty of HSs on people but hands down urs looks the most blending and natural. I have a few questions; I did have a look on the website and want to order a HS, but the thing is, I am confused. First, I have an oily skin and I live Morocco, North Africa. The weather here is mostly super hot in summer (we are talking 42-45 degrees on average during summer). Also, I am very active, I hit the gym 5 times a week. So, double the heat XD. Now, what hair system would you recommend for me? French lace or poly? and would glue or tape work best for my oily skin? Thanks for the informative vids, btw, loveeeem

My problem with tape was that it doesn't last anywhere near as much as full bond (i can get 2-4 weeks out of a full bond) where as tape barely lasts 2 weeks and doesn't feel anywhere near as secure and it makes the system move awkwardly when I'm laying down and it's not a feeling i like whatsoever

Let me ask you Curtis, I live on the east coast, I am getting an 80% density hair system with a French lace in front and poly around the rest of the system. I want to wear my hair as that is the way I use to wear my hair before I lost it. My question is would it be ok to do an all tape bond around the whole system as I do not want my hairline exposed or would you recommend that I still bond the front with glue? Also which kind I live out on the east coast would I get a white bond or a clear bond. Good video Curtis.

I cut all my own stock systems to size ... to trim the base just use this method .. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-o-AZRVr7YmM.html ... its not hard ... note how the Scissors are used with just the tip and short snips ... I use this method for both full lace and poly. Just trace your template on with a Sharpie® China Marker and have at it ...stick it down then go to your regular barber ... I just go to a Great Clips and point out to the girl this part is real ... and this part is fake ... tell her the cut I want and texture it in .... done!
@Jared_Evans
@Jared_Evans 6 лет назад
I had this problem, too. And in a college town nonetheless where everyone including the salon workers are my age and give weird looks. To be honest, you just have to go in and sit down with someone and say, "Hey, so I've got a hair system. What can we do?" What I do, if you have anything like this available, is to go to a beauty school. Yes, they're in training, but they train on wigs to do everything they would with a real client. Teach them this as well and you can really broaden both of your horizons
@logun24x7
@logun24x7 6 лет назад
CelestialWoodway ... one other think is if this is your first system ... your going to wreck it in no time ... consider it your training unit and get a second one on order soon ... your going to brush it too much ... rub it ...scratch it ... touch the front hairline with your fingers ... take it off too much ...put it down with a wrinkle ...etc .... and that's ok anyone doing DIY hair does the same thing but in a month you'll be pro ... so don't worry to much about making a few mistakes along the way ... it may cost you now but in the long run your saving a ton by doing this yourself ... consider it a new hobby

If you want to expose the hairline use any ORWG (oil resistant white glue) or a clear liquid glue. Using tape in the front with an exposed hairline will most of times shine through or lift up a bit after a while. Bu it also depends on hair density. If you have a low density hair system then tape in front is definitely a no no. With a higher density hair system you might be able to do it. You can use 3 mill tape which is a very thin tape but it's messy. That's from my experience.
