Nick Griot is very smart to give you keys to tour and market their production facility. I never knew they had such tight control over production and testing. Very cool to see!

Didn't know their lab is in house too. I think turtle wax is the only other one in the country that has the same.

Little things can make a big difference - the break room and giving a nice space for your employees demonstrates care for them and that will translate to how they treat the customer.

So cool to see this on here. I was on Plainfield Fire when this facility was built and had been a user of Griots' for years. They had "yard sales" at the time, one year I lucked out after they quit carrying the Griots' branded Lista cabinets I got I think twenty tool cabinets for almost 75% off retail. Fantastic group of guys to deal with! Wish I still lived close to it!!

I’m about 20 mins from their shop in Tacoma. It’s always great going in there and learning new advancements to their products over the last 6 years of using them! Great customer service always helps too

I want to try out more Griots garage products this year. I’ve only ever used the Ceramic 3 N 1 Wax which I thought was a really great product. Only problem is, I feel like I have 10 years worth of detailing stuff in my garage right now

Perfect example of QC and trace recall SOP's for a chemical manufacturer. I vote Mike F. as OG's in-house chemist. Surely he has some chemistry background in his past!

Love this! Thanks for the content Matt as always. The griots compact sprayer has been my go to when it comes to harsher chemicals, used the same trigger for acid wheel cleaner for a couple years with no issue.

I’ve been in this facility multiple times. My uncle runs the production and bottling line. That was his office you showed in that room. Griots is an outstanding company that really cares for their employees. Wish I would have known you were in town I would have met up with you. We were busy that weekend otherwise I would have been there.

Been using Griots since the mid-to-late 90’s and I never knew they were almost entirely in house. That’s fantastic. Companies like this, by default, give a hoot about their products and customers. I don’t love everything Griots produces, but I don’t dislike ANY of them. That’s rare … in my experience. Anyway, the facility is sick. Very impressed. 😊😊😊

Love their Interior Cleaner. It is the only interior cleaner I use. Interesting that you showed the defective product… I had to return the interior cleaner a number of times a few years back due to contamination.

Totally agree with the idea that you aren’t really competing with them. Besides the businesses are a bit different. Might be cool if you are able to do a video similar to this one and check out places like auto geek since what they do is more in line with og.

Ahhhhh man! I wish I could give you a tour of the company I work for. You would love the organization and simplicity of the systems that we use. The building I'm in is about 10x this size and there's not a speck of dust anywhere in the building. Everything in it has a purpose and a place. If it doesn't have a purpose, it doesn't have a place. I could talk your head off about it for hours. It's a very "OG" tier company to work for.

Used to buy a lot of Griot products, but their customer service is not great in my experience. Had an issue with one of their wash pails (wheel wouldn’t stay attached). They refused to replace it. Dumb move, I took thousands of dollars of purchases to other vendors.

I'm curious if industrial engineers were utilized in the creation of how this facility was organized. That field of engineering has always seemed to be forgotten but so essential in today's world. This type of engineering also seems ripe for A.I. to penetrate.

Interesting I didn’t realize they do their own blending…. you know it surprise me a lot of this overlaps to the wine industry. We have to keep samples for several years different varietals that we run. The lab is sort of similar to ours. We have to find out bad too, and we’re on a whole Nother level because it’s consumable…..

Chemical Guys products are more affordable and superior. All available at Walmart and just 400 yards away from prime beef at way lower prices.
