This powder is my go to foundation for years now. My holy grail. Nothing compares. Looks absolutely beautiful and flawless and stays put when applied in a patting into skin motion with their flocked sponge. That technique provides full coverage thats almost undetectable. So flawless looking.
Love the Jane Iredale look, especially the eyes, You asked about warm vs. cool eyeshadow. I have brown eyes, but since I've gone gray, I lean to cool tones. I love Elf's potted shadow In a cool dark brown. I'm tired of peach/orange/bronze eye looks on RU-vid, so I really enjoyed seeing this look. Thank you for this, and thank you for all your tutorials. I'm 73, but am still learning.
Jane Iredale products are the absolute best. I've been using them for 15+ years and have never been disappointed with anything that I've purchased. Thank you for doing this video, Lisa, so others can try this fantastic line. Their single, duo & trio eyeshadows are great, too. Ivr also used the blush as an eyeshadow & the Allure eyeshdow as a highlight! I enjoy the Beyond Matte Liquid Foundation and the Mineral Tint.
My daughter sent me the Jane Iredale website and I used my camera to try on her products. I decided to try the loose mineral powder foundation and I love it. I love the cheek and lip stain. Thank you for showing the other products. I am going to look into the blush and see how that will work for me. You're my favorite makeup artist. Have a great day!
I've been wearing Jane Iredale powder foundation (typically the Amazing Base loose powder) for 20 years and still love it. I also love their blushes and their eyeliner pencils, which never irritate my sensitive eyes. The look you created is beautiful!
Yes to Jane's powder foundation! might be wrong of me to use it this way, but I use a dusting of it as my setting powder and it truly gives me a flawless finish. Fyi, I am 59 yo so I am battling uneven texture wrinkles and sun damage but this powder foundation still works for me. ... I had to laugh that a minute after I posted this comment, you called me out for misusing the foundation powder as a setting powder! 😂 You are not dissuading from persisting in my wrongful ways!!! 😝
It’s not wrong just not what she does. There are actual makeup artist that do this especially w bb creams and tinted moisturizer or for a very full coverage
@@kankan572 yes exactly - I primarily wear bb/cc creams and tinted moisturizers. In fairness to Lisa, I have tried this same technique with medium and full coverage foundation and the look was too heavy (no surprise there)
I prefer cool tones in the winter when I have no tan, and a little warmer in the summer. There are not many cool toned palette videos to watch. Thank you for this one! This palette looks great on you!
You are THE BEST Teacher💐, and I appreciate how you continue to guide us, but do so with happiness and excitement( even though you’ve been doing it for some time).😊
Yes too Jane Iredale! She has been around for years. Her products are clean, cruelty free and are amazing. My dermatologist recommended her products to wear after treatment. That is how good her products are . Great Video Lisa Thank you!
Thanks to your prior video on the powder foundation, I’m SO hooked on this brand! There has not been a product I have used that isn’t amazing. Thank you so much for this additional review.
JI is one of my fav lines. The powder foundation is the only product that covers the redness/ pores on my oily nose . I am never without it… always have a backup. Sooooo excited by this video and inspired by the lesson in application. Ordered your new brushes. Only wear warm colors on eyes.
I discovered J I earlier this year when I received a sample mascara. Have never been able to wear mascara due to allergies, it was a moment of will I or won't I !!! I decided yes, wasn't going out so I could wash it off if needed. I was totally beside myself with excitement zero itchy eyes etc. I live in Australia had never heard of JI . Online I went ordered 2 mascaras plus a few other products....so happy with my haul😆 have sung her praises & products to all my friends. Have been a little hesitant in ordering eye shadow & foundation online. After watching the video I am going to be brave & order. Thank you all as I am soooo glad I tried the mascara what a difference it makes to my overall look. Sandra Queensland Australia
I stopped using Jane Iredale years ago, thank you for doing this video. Im reminded of how much I enjoyed the makeup. I picked up the new serum a couple weeks ago absolutely love it! I personally prefer cool tones, warm tones just look orange on me. I wish it wasnt so hard to find cool toned palettes. Definitely picking up this cream bronzer! Thanks again
So I just started esthetician school and am almost 60 years old. I found out today we get the Jane Iredale kit along with their trainers coming in to teach us how to apply the products to our clients ❤❤❤❤I almost squealed aloud 😂😂😂
Lisa, you need to try the liquid minerals serum, that is my top seller. I have my clients apply liquid minerals and the pure pressed or amazing base. I’m 71 and it looks fantastic on mature skin.
I use the foundation powder as a setting powder 🙂 I use a fluffy brush and I love it! And I'm not a fan of using powders anymore because I'm 53 with normal to dry skin, but this powder works for me. Love this powder 😊
First, cool tone. Second, I’ve used JI for about 20 years!! Love it. Love the mineral foundation as ist very light but covers all the unevenness. Also love the lash primer (my favourite lash primer out there) and also love the lip stain. It’s really good, however it’s insanely expensive and dries out really fast!! Therefore the lip primer is not so good. Loved seeing you use it. 😊 I actually think that’s a reason I started watching you years ago when a friend of yours came and did a tutorial on you with JI makeup! Then I stayed for your cuteness ☺️
Love this video Lisa. I’ve known about Jane Iredale for years but never tried it until six months ago. I am so obsessed I bought many products and everything has just been amazing. her powder foundation is second to none. I ride horses and I’m outside a lot and like to look put together but kind of natural at the same time. That foundation never ever let me down. I like warm tones but I’ve found recently I probably like neutral XO, Cowgirl Deb
Hi Lisa. The rose blush is stunning, as well as the bronzer. I definitely prefer warmer tone shadows, but I also love a rose gold shade. The lipgloss is lovely. My obsession! Love the way the look turned out. ❤❤💋
Good Morning Lisa. Have you ever watched “ Mandy Moore”? She loves loves Jane Iredale makeup and has a lot of makeup tutorials using Iredale products. You put together a beautiful soft yet classy look. Thank You for sharing how you used them.
Have you tried la bella donna products? it's my favorite mineral foundation powder with spf 50 and surprisingly, there's not a lot of hub-bub about it. Their concealer was alright. I have Jane's eye primer and really like it. I have combo skin and in my 40s. Thank you for all you do to keep us beautiful!
jane iredale is OG for me! when i had cystic acne, all makeup made me breakout and that powder foundation was the only base makeup i would wear for years. great products for all skin , especially sensitive. i also used the brow pencil for many years. lip liner in nutmeg :)
You enhanced an already beautiful canvas. I really like the Jane I products you tried on in this video. Very interested in trying them now. Thanks for sharing this. 👍🏽
Since I discovered JI eyeshadows about 6 years ago I have a hard time using anything else. They are the best. My favorite is the Brown Sugar trio. I love this look you did today. I think I need to get that one. I like the cool tones. Their eyebrow products are also my favorite. And that setting spray is wonderful.
Jane iredale is amazing. It settles beautifully with their setting sprays. I have to say, my skin is always so much clearer when I use it. Also fun fact , it’s one of the few lines approved by the American board of plastic surgeons to use over healing surgical scars ❤️
I just received the Jane Iredale starter kit.Has 2 different powder foundations, primer, hydrating spray and a brush. They are travel size and is a great way to try.I have a weekend getaway planned for November and this set will pair nicely with my BKBeauty travel set.😎
Thank you for the quality of your foundation brush. After years of cheaper, but highly rated Amazon brushes, I gave it a try and I am sorry that I waited this long. It works beautifully and surprisingly, for concealer too. It fits in the different areas so well. I prefer it to the IT Cosmetics double one and the Sephora ones that are the only high end ones that I have previously purchased.
I love Jane Iredale! I have green eyes too and I tend to go for warmer colors. I love how well you explain how to use all the makeup and I have learned so much from you. Thank you ❤
You look gorgeous! I have not tried this brand yet, but very interested! I'm attracted to cool tone shadows but feel warm tones are more flattering on me. If you pick up a warm palette please demo! Thanks Lisa!
Am so glad you discovered JI. Had worked with this line when I was in the Spa Industry and I was hooked as I loved the fact that it is skincare m-up. Minerals are more pigmented and blend out beautifully. My skin tone is Cool and fell in luv with "Walnut" single eyeshadow is my go to Crease shade. Unfortunately, this shade got discontinued. I do not like to wear Foundation, but luv luv their "Pure Pressed Base Mineral Powder" in Teakwood. Have tried the MAC Base Paint Pot but found it to be a bit heavier and went back to Smooth Affair For Eyes in "Canvas" as this is great on its own. Their Lash Primer is beautiful as it doesn't dry the lashes out and make them "crunchy".
Warm tones! Also, I received the new eye brush set today! 🙌🏼 I think they are going to be perfect for my small & hooded eyes! Will probably get the face set too….waiting for Black Friday just in case 🙃
Jane Iredale pressed mineral foundation is my favorite! On their website & RU-vid videos they recommend using downward strokes w/ a flattop brush like a Kabuki. Try it, it'll look flawless
I've been using Jane Iredale powder foundation for years and absolutely love it. Love their blush (whisper) and cream lipsticks. Unfortunately here in Australia you can only buy through beauty salons and it's very expensive and becomes a problem when salons change brands and you need to find a new salon that stocks it ☹
Cool tone lover here. Haven’t tried Jane Airedale yet, but thinking it might be a good choice for my 50 yo face. Thank you for your fantastic review and instruction!
i love all your videos and your makeup tips and tricks. I've used JI intermittently in the past, but I've been inspired to buy more of their stuff!. would love for you to try the Mystikol powdered eyeliner. It's a bit of a unique product, so I'm a little hesitant to buy it myself without seeing it one someone.
I love Jane Iredale base products! I think your friend who was your former Mac trainer used the Jane BB cream on you. I got the impression from you is that you didn’t like the coverage of that BB cream. Your friend told you that Jennifer Aniston loves that BB cream. I really like it too but I only use it for the parts of my skin that doesn’t have blemishes. If I try to use it to cover those imperfections it can get cakey in those areas. As for the primer, her primers are all called “Smooth Affair” because they have blurring properties! The matte and brightening one are my favorites! Jane is available online at Ulta & the BB cream is on sale. I suggest going into a store that carries the brand for shade matching. Glad to know Blue Mercury has that brand available there!
I will advice you the handi brush from JI for the Pure Pressed, thats the best brush for this powder foundation! & I think the new Liquid Mineral Foundation would be amazing on your skin!
Lisa I really liked that you did this Jane Iredale video. Can you do a video with your one pick for each item that is your desert island products. Thank you
Yayyyy waking up to LisaJ!!! GOOD MORNING 😁🥰 I like warm peach or pinks on my eyes....my right eye loses lashes on the inner third when I'm stressed....definitely.lately with mom in hospital )but Grande Lash helps a bit after a couple weeks. Off to the store today to get some...YOU HAVE A BEAUTIFUL DAY LISA!!🥰🥰
Thank you for this video! I love Jane Iredale and have worn the amazing base for years. Love your tips! What brush did you use to apply the cream bronzer?
Great video! Didn’t someone do your makeup on your channel once using JI products? Someone you used to work with? Or maybe I’m thinking of someone else 🤔
I will have to try the JI powder foundation! Also, I am cool toned and find it very difficult to find very many eye shadow options that are not brown. I've been looking for months for one that is cool and not too dark. I am fair with gray/silver hair and blue eyes. Thank you, Lisa. Love this look on you.
I have brown eyed with a neutral skin tone so I like both warm and cool. Love the warm browns but really enjoy the purples and plums and occasional olive or army green.
I really like the shades and how this all looks. Again, I felt like this was substandard as a makeup (and mainly for problem skin) because few to none of the mainstream influencers mentioned this.
Good morning Lisa ❤️. I have not tried any products from this brand, yet. You look very pretty. I tend to use cooler eyeshadow shades for my brown eyes. This is a great tutorial. I appreciate all the tips to use when working with a powder foundation and cream products. I have been truly enjoying playing with your newest brushes. Have a wonderful day ❤️
This is like the perfect everyday look that can take you into evening with just a little of that highlighter it looks marvelous I really like to have that mascara and the bronzer possibly the lip stain if it came in a berry thanks for the video :-)
Lovely, looks great on you. I like warm toned palettes, however as I have neutral tone skin I can go use both warm and cool. This palette looks great and may work well on my green eyes.
Yay! I enjoy a full face of brand! I’m still a MU beginner. Are u guys ride or d1e & go all in for a brand? Or mix & match? Does it depend? Happy Tuesday, y’all!👍❤️
I Prefer Warm Tones On You Because Of Your Palette !!!And Lisa You're Beautiful !!! And I Mean It Love It .!!! Very Clean And A Stand Out Look.!!! Awesome.!!!!
The Jane Iredale brow products actually are very good. The brow gel is my favorite (other than maybe the Kosas) and the micro retractable pencil is also excellent. They just released a lot of new shades (but apparently with the same formula), plus an additional retractable eye pencil that I haven't tried. So that could be something else for you to try. I also like the Liquid Minerals foundation, which is similar to the Rose Inc. or Chanel ones with the suspended "beads" (but Jane Iredale was first - theirs is 10+ years old). Some people wouldn't want to review that because they do not yet offer any dark shades in that one yet.
I am fair and have blue/green eyes. I generally avoid dark shadows due to hooded lids and lean toward rose, mauve, lavender, taupe, peach shadow tones, but I also like medium copper, gold & terracottas. I stay clear of most browns as they make me look tired.
The pure pressed base is one of my top 5 makeup products…so versatile and never makes my super sensitive skin angry. The liquid minerals tinted serum is great as well…the Chanel water fresh tint is basically a copy of it with worse ingredients, imo!
Love Jane Iredale! I prefer cool toned eye palettes (can't wait until BK Beauty offers one).....I have deep set eyes and feel if I go too warm toned that I look sick or Halloweenish. I used the Glo Time BB cream and the Smooth Affair primer....loved that combo. What I would love to see you try is the Liquid Minerals Foundation....I've seen one other influencer use it. It's so different than any other product out there....
Definitely cool toned eyeshadow palettes. Purely because warm tones make me look unwell and/or bruised 🙈 If I didn't have as many foundations as I do, I would've got the pressed powder foundation as it looks so pretty. However, I've got liquids, creams and a couple of liquid compacts still unopened!!! I reckon I have enough foundations for three lifetimes 😅😅 Much love to you, 💖💜💖💜💖
I wear cool toned eye makeup. I had my skin undertones professionally "typed" so I only wear muted, cool toned colors (clothes, makeup, haircolor etc) My everyday for eyes is Dior Backstage cool neutral palette, Victoria Beckham tuxedo brick and the armani beauty flannel liquid eyeshadow (saw in your video!) I purchased the Dior lash primer on your recommendation and it's amazing!!
I bought the Solar Flare palette, though I wish I’d gotten the one shown here. Solar Flare doesn’t have any matte shades, for some reason I thought it did…and it’s a touch warmer than I like. I can wear warm shades, but prefer cooler tones. I also got the serum foundation today, I think i am going to like it, even though I wasn’t all that impressed with Chanel Waterfresh tint, which is very similar but I think a lot less pigmented. I really want to try the powder blush, the lip stain, and the mascara.
I have blue eyes, and tend to go for both cool, and warm tones. Mostly, taupes, golds, coppers, and browns. I don't like pinks, oranges, or crazy colors on my eyes. I've been using powder foundations for years, and only recently gone back to using liquids. I've had JI in my rotation for a few years now.
I definitely prefer cool toned palettes! I feel like warm is over done! I mean how many shades of orange are there?! Can you link your watch band? Or at least let me know where you got it and the color?! Thanks
I prefer looking at cool tone palette. They always look so pretty to me. But I tend to only use warm toned palettes, because it’s more flattering on my skin tone. I have the Jane Iredale beyond lash mascara- you’re not missing anything there. It does minimal for my lashes.
New subbie here! I'm more cool side......the warm is OK...but I want great quality talc-free matte neutral eyeshadow palette. Still recommend jane iredale or ilia's eyeshadows? Thanks!!
I tend to go towards warm tones. I have enjoyed blushes from Jane Iredale but seem to be Dr warm to other brands since I do not see it at stores. I can only get on line or Soft Surroundings.
I always wear cool toned eyeshadows - but a true cool toned palette is not easy to find. When a YT’er say that an eyeshadowpalette is neutral - it is usually warm. I have fair cool toned skin and blue/grey eyes
If you remember your Mac trainer used all Jane Iradale makeup on you I still use all the products your friend used. She was terrific Cool colors look the best on me. Please consider using cooler colors Thanks
